Default best way to hide mj when moving

ok i need some help fast. i have moved before over the years but never realy far and had no real concerns. this time we are moving about 150 miles and pass two dot inspection sites that state troopers also help with the inspections. i am asking the best way to hide my mj since where we are moving to we know know one in the area and i dont want to be dry till we can find some one. i plan on what ever i place the mj in to be one of the first things placed on the uhaul so its burried deep and less likely to be found or smelled by a cop. i wouldnt be worrying so bad if i knew the most i would have to deal with is geting pulled over for a trafick stop but i cant get a clear awnser from dot or uhaul if one of the inspection stations are open the day we move if i have to pull in or not. so anything that will help will be apraited and the sooner or better i start packing the uhaul friday night.

Do U-Haul trucks need to stop at DOT inspection sites?

If you know where the inspection sites are, you could always bypass them.

We moved over 1,000 miles one way, between Indiana and Florida, 2 times. We had a U-Haul truck everytime. I kept my "stash" with me in the cab of the truck at all times, so that I could put it on my person quickly, if needed, but it never was.

We thought we would have to pull into weigh and inspection stations too, but we didn't. We pulled into one, and they told us it was unneccesary, so we didn't stop at anymore the rest of our trip.

Our last trip was back in 2002, so I don't know if the laws have changed since then or not. Hopefully someone with more recent experience can give a better answer, but that is my personal experience with cross country U-Haul moving.

That has been my experience as well, although not with a U-Haul. When I got my first pickup truck, I thought, "Hey! I'm driving a truck. I need to pull in and get inspected." When I did, they laughed at me and waved me through. I never stopped again.

Yeah, it is embarrassing without a doubt. They didn't outright laugh at us, but they were smirking, looking at us like we were idiots. Oh well, now we know.

I've moved across this country a couple three times with a U-Haul and never stopped at a weigh station. Latest was in '04 from Wyoming to Texas. You shouldn't have any reason to get pulled over and searched, obaying tarffic laws of course.

well i got the inspection/weight station fianly awnsered form my old man who works as a dot mechanic/ inspection agaent (poor old dad has the worse job ever in the winter made to go all over the state to fix broken plows and what not but he has a cool perk he can snag any trooper car in our state for any reason he feels like saying ussaly he snags the cars the put on the road from drug bust that they make into troopers cars ok im rabemling now ) but he clairified the weight station inspection station issue. in my state any comecrial vehicals (which any pick up truck ends up with comecrial plates) that is hauling good for a fee has to uhauls and other rental vehicals like uhaul that are for moving personal items are not required to pull in. he said it is also standered for most states.
