I think you did a natural thing by ditching your bowl. Fear kicked in and you did the first thing that came to mind. I would have ditched the weed also and then gone back for it after the cops left. Better safe than sorry.

i think he gets what you guys are trying to tell him. you dont gotta keep calling him an idiot. i would of tossed it too, ive avoided a possesion charge like that, the cop saw me toss it, but couldnt find it.

hahaha...good mentality on the smoke anywhere until you get booked, works in a few places, your lucky you live their

and if it was a bottle bong that im gonna assume was at least 24 oz. bottle than ya it was a good idea to ditch it since they would have seen it, try buying a small glass piece to carry around, much easier to hide and transport than a bottle

HAHA! A week later I went back to see if, by the grace of god, my billy was still in the general area where I threw it. IT FUCKING WAS! Crisis averted...

I would say if you are going to smoke in public smoke 1 joint and make sure you are far enough away from everyone so no one can sneak up on you. But it's better to not do it at all.

yea if your going to take the chances of smoking in public at least try to cover your tracks. For me if I'm smoking, lets say a blunt for good measure, i carry around some real tobacco filled blunts to cover me up. I have been approached by cops that had caught me smoking a blunt and just by pulling out my box of dutches i got away easily (just take notice of how thick your blunts are in comparison to the unused ones, you don't want to have a thin one lol).

Cops aren't stupid. If you're smoking a blunt, he'll know it and if you pull out your dutches and tell him "Duh....look at these." You'll just piss him off.

You did what you thought you had to do, and if any of those items led to your arrest you'd really be feeling like an idiot for not tossing them.

A few rules I learned some time ago: If you're going to meet your friends in a public place to toke, only take what is necessary. Leave the weight at home, roll a couple joints and be ready to eat them if you have to. Glass bowls are not edible.

If you are planning on smoking an 1/8 or 1/4 ounce, by all means do it at your's or someone else's house. Being out on the streets for the time it takes to smoke that much just increases your risk of a police encounter, as well as being seen by those who will notify the police of your actions.

Just a few pointers.
