Lightbulb How about this for a solution

It's nice finally seeing the politicians admit to have smoked marijuana. Now the next question that needs to be asked of them is "Have you actively and consistently participated in the smoking of marijuana for any time in your life? Great, they admit to TRYING marijuana. Now let the people know how long you used it for.

What this shows us is each one of the candidates are admitting to have smoked pot at or for some time in each one of their lives’. And look, they are ALL successful people. No matter what party they're in, whether they win or lose, or how they got to be at this point in their life, they are ALL successful people.

My next question is this. "If the politicians are as successful in life as they are and THEEEEEEY'VE all smoked pot at or for some point in their life for whatever reason, then why doesn't the rest of the Americant's get to smoke pot and also have an opportunity at a successful life?

They will all give you some kind of political bullshit excuse for the legalization of pot. They will first say "We have to decriminalize it first, and then ... blah blah blah wah wah wah." Well, I don't know about you but I'm tired of waiting for all of this political bullshit to pass through into an empty pasture...so here is my solution. SPREAD THE LOVE.

Take your seeds WHERE EVER you are and E-V-E-R-Y WHERE you go and scatter them randomly across the United States; no patterns and no yards...just the woods, the river, the creek, the trails, the slopes, the valleys the interstate hwys and yes just out into the streets and sewers. I mean SPREAD THEE LOVE. The feds in all their politics can try to stop Ca, but they won't be able to stop Mother Nature. After 5 to 10 yrs, pot could be growing ALL OVER this country. There would be so much pot just EVERY where, they would almost HAVE to legalize it.

I'm NOT telling you to plant, care for, cultivate, use, cultivate to use, sell or anything else you can think of that is also illegal. I'm simply saying just throw the seeds randomly every time you have some. You're already breaking the law by smoking, buying or selling, so don't bring unwanted attention to yourself. If all pot smokers would do this across the nation...this country would have a plethora of pot. You can start a campaign…P.o.P. for “Plethora of Pot”.

Seeds and plants will amaze you if you spend some time gardening (all legal of course). Seeds survive when you think they've rotted and plants adapt to the climate conditions. Seeds will even grow in sewers. If you pot smokers do this, I bet marijuana will become so abundant across this nation, that Mother Nature will get it legalized before the politicians will.

You people need to also fight for REAL data from REAL studies. Numbers (data) don't lie, but they are manipulated by people that do lie.

I'm tired of the corrupted political bullshit game. SCATTER YOUR SEEDS, MAN...I mean S P R E A D T H E E L O V E !

They weren't successful because they smoked pot obviously. They worked their ways through college, got jobs in the government and they're where they are now. I am also for legalizing marijuana but I personally don't think that a sudden (if 5 to 10 years is sudden) springing of marijuana plants would convince the government to legalize it. Only through convincing them that it is not as harmful as many believe it to be will they finally stop sending non-violent drug offenders to prison.

If you think that I'm saying marijuana made the politicians successful (which I don't think you do, I think you're just adding to my point) then you've missed my entire point. They are successful people and they have smoked pot at some time in their past.

How many pot smokers are there in America, what proportion of those pot smokers would actually care enough to try and help scatter the seeds, how many seeds on an annual basis does each pot smoker encounter, what proportion of those seeds on average will actuall get scattered and what is the germination rate of marijuana seeds (we would need climate specifics). Take these questions into account and we've got ourself a nice exponential growth model.

If ENOUGH pot smokers will try scattering the seeds over the next decade, I would be willing to bet that you will start seeing pot plants withing the next 10 years...now maybe not "enough" to get the govn't to legalize it like you said, but enough to be seen just like the common outdoor weed. I think this would make a strong addition to the team other facts for the legalization of it.

Being in the field of statistics I've realized very early in my career that the govn't along with the health and big pharma are manipulating data to blatantly deceive the statistically ignorant public. They don't care how harmful it is (just like cigs and alcohol), so on convincing the govn't well...I don't think they need convincing as much as exposure. Why won't they give us REAL data from REAL studies on big pharma and marijuana? Why did congress turn that bill down? Why...because numbers don't lie and statiticians would love to be the people to show that good ole Uncle Sam is lieing and no longer good ole; they've become Old Corrupt Uncle Sam. They are corrupt and don't need convincing, they need exposed.

Thank you for the feed back.

99%+ of pot smokers don't give a damn about getting it legalized. 0.25% of the estimated number of marijuana users in this country have bothered to join any one of the three major pro-legalization organizations.

This old "Overgrow" idea has been around since the '70s. It's never gotten anywhere. I doubt that it ever will. A much more effective approach would be to support the organizations that lobby our legislators and educate the public about marijuana issues.

National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML)

Marijuana Policy Project (MPP)

Drug Policy Alliance (DPA)

I'm still new to this blog thing. I thougt that where it read "Reason for changes", I was leaving a memo. I didn't know it was going to show up.

I originally posted Beautiful!, read it, and decided to add Spread the love.

I'll get used to this as time goes on.

Buzzby, I agree with you on the fact that we need to support the organizations that lobby our legislators and educate the public about marijuana issues 100%. But what harm is it going to do if people all over just randomly start throwing their seeds out the car window instead of into the trash. It will start to grow. It will start to spread. Enough to make a difference? Maybe not, but I think it would at least be worth the shot to try to spread the word while they support the organizations, no?
