I think they quoted the wrong thing feedyourhead. I obviously can't speak for him but reading through it makes sense that he quoted your post trying to quite what you quoted. As in, if things are only interesting when you're high, you need to put the pipe down and figure it out. I don't think it was attacking you.

hahaha totally agree with the OP, before i smoked i held a 1.5 at best, now i hold a 3.5, mostly cause i have decide to just grin and bare through school instead of screwing around, i actually decided to grin and bare because i wanted to prove to everyone that even though i was a one of the biggest stoners at school that i could still do better than them

i guess you could say weed changed life around and gave me ambition, not exactly the same imaged that the DEA would give you

Everybody (whether you agree with pot smoking or not) needs to read the book Understanding Marijuana: A NEW LOOK AT THE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE by Mitch Earleywine. It will amaze the smoker and the nonsmoker. Pick it up at Barnes and Nobel or online somewhere.

You people need to fight with data.

I would believe that when wrecked your not really that much dumber or smarter than when sober. Sure it doesn't help being stoned in a maths class, but what you lose in logical reasoning you kinda gain in creative genius. A large proportion of the artistic community use weed and other off-topic substances frequently, you would not say they were stupid.

I was thinking that if the only way a person can get happy is by getting high, then there's some serious underlying issues with that person. A trip to a doctor is in order for that person.

Weed only makes you dumb if you want weed to make you dumb, in which case it's your own fault... I've been smoking daily for 5 years now and everybody who knows me thinks of me as the exact opposite of a typical "stoner".
