I remember reading a post on here that gave estimates on how legalizing marijuana would help our echonomy. I ran a search and I coulden't find it again.

Can someone help me out?

I don't know of any report [I'm new here ] but I just downloaded a torrent from mininova [I beleive ] that is a fact pdf about hemp and it's uses for any thing from rope , food to medical use's......if that will help?? it's a small file I could e-mail you?

tried to attach the file to private message no go ,so either you give me your e-mail [via private message ]or you go to demonoid .com and if you have a account[ hard to get if you don't] and look for "marijuana_hemp faq" it was put up Aug. 10 , and is only 205KB in PDF format and just as a side note I have all "The Freak Brothers" comix with veiwer but I believe they are to large to send . found them on "the pirate Bay" 4-6 months ago or mininova
And just to give you something to look at go to you tube and look up "are you ready 3" told my nephew about this one he called back crying!!!!!!!!! and I'm not kidding!!!! flat out bawling , I had to lie and tell him it wasn't true!!!!
Me I'm not saying I believe it , but I'm not saying I don't either.....
I need more info for this cr*p before I weight in ,for sure!!!!

Do a search on this site for "Milton Friedman". He wrote a letter to the government that was signed by 500 other economists, detailing how legalizing marijuana would help the economy.

Well I know that in Canada and America Cannabis is the biggest cash crop. I think in the states alone its estimated at 12-18 billion by the FBI... assuming thats close, if they tax only 10 percent of that, which sounds fair, they could rack close to 2 BILLION a year. Which is a big amount of money.

As the post above has said check out Milton Friedman, advoate of a true free market without gov. intervention. Offcourse legalization of marijauna would be an economic boom. Hemp can be used in a number of ways, and so can marijauna from cooking to smoking, could be used as a decorative item for households. Then again the only way I can see it being a negative impact on our economy is because banks are funded with illegal activity, so legalization could actually hurt banks and in turn hurt the economy. What do you guys and gals think?

Most illegal activity jobs dont use banks. Any smart drug dealer would not leave a paper trail. And besides, most drug dealers prefer to have a shit load of cash.

I agree most don't put money in bank's except the large scale dealers, and they bank off shore to clean the money so they can use it legaly here . and I prefer care giver's to drug dealers [weed only of course] It sounds much nicer and more explains the folk's in my age group . you know the "I get high with a little help from my friends attitude" and In my opionoin they are dragging their feet on legalization because the alcohol ind. would lose out bigg time , and well they got lobbyist that pay our fine senators and such to vote it down, so they stay the only legal drug. and also since anyone could grow weed , it's a damn weed for christ sake you just need good seed stock government would lose controll of the taxes ect.. Hell I live in centeal Illinois I can grow great weed here but if they planted a field down the road to tax and sell , I know for a fact every weed smoker for miles would make a night raid on the patch just to get it free. its the nature of people to grow or get stuff free , we still got patches of hemp around here from the 30's and 40's don't get you high but people still raid the patches every year hoping it cross breeded with planted weed and got better ,it didn't but they still try anc the cops bust you for hemp as well as weed , they don't care they just want your fine money so they can by new quad's to raid the field's themselves!!
