![]() There aren't just stoners and people who are anti-marijuana.. there's a huge grey area of people who are on the fence, so to speak.. people who aren't educated to have an opinion either way. Some people might go to the site. | |

| I'd stick with sites such as Marijuana Law Reform - NORML MPP Homepage ASA*:*Advancing Legal Medical Marijuana Therapeutics and Research and other reputable organizations. In many ways this site and others like it do NOT help the cause. |

| They are always marking large bills with the special magic marker to check for counterfeit notes. Get one of those and write Marijuana Rules on the bill. To make the maximum impact, do it on the large bills. I have also gotten those bills that have a WheresGeorge . com on them. Punch in the serial number and leave you location and you can see where it's been and those that follow. That operation has to be close to being shutdown if it's illegal to write on bills. That's stupid or a sad commentary that they have to make a law saying it's illegal to deface and diminish and impair your money! "Hey everyone, come on over. Big Party! We're going to ruin all my money!" |

| Thanks for bringing that up Blondie and clearing it up Buzzby. It's never occurred to me to write messages on money. I'm not sure it's entirely pointless at all. Most people certainly pay attention to money. If you could get it printed on credit card receipts, then you'd really be talking. The cries of the protesters can be heard over the Bob Marley CD, "Sacrilege! Defacing God Money! Dirty Hippies Repent!" |

| United States Code TITLE 18 - CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE PART I - CRIMES CHAPTER 17 - COINS AND CURRENCY 333. Mutilation of national bank obligations Whoever mutilates, cuts, defaces, disfigures, or perforates, or unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, or Federal Reserve bank, or the Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt unfit to be reissued, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than six months, or both. Whoever fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the mints ofthe United States, or any foreign coins which are by law made current or are in actual use or circulation as money within the United States; or whoever fraudulently possesses, passes, utters, publishes, or sells, or attempts to pass, utter, publish, or sell, or brings into the United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced, mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened? Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.? Prior to 1994 when this law was amended, the statute read ?fined not more than $100?. This was changed in 1994 to read ?Shall be fined under this title? which effectively gives the court the authority to impose a fine at its discretion. Of course the imprisonment terms mentioned in the statute speaks for itself. Dont know if it's much help but I would not go nuts writing on them just keep it within reason, I think we have all seen money written on - 50/50 raffles and so on |

| I agree with MMJNoob's suggestion that only reputable URLs should be the ones written on bills. In any case, this thread made me want to write on money. I took a one and wrote "cannabis is healthier than McDonalds" on it. Chances are, I'm not going to spend it, because it won't help the cause... ...but if I do, I'm totally going to spend it on a McDonald's double cheeseburger after a smoking session. |

| I think its a pretty interesting way to spread the word, dont know what site Id link them to though. Maybe NORML. Anyways, everytime I get one of those "Wheres George" bills, I immediately look it up and see where all its been.

| It would only last until it makes it to a bank. Banks take defaced and ripped bills and exchange them with the Fed for new bills usually. Eventually they all make it back to a bank.
