Please Keep it short simple and to the point, he don't need to know all the reasons of why he should legalize it. Just that its the right thing to do, the gov is saying you gotta die by our terms and that wont work its unjust and unfair.

Sorry, but I really doubt with the state of the economy and current worldwide situations he will even bother reading this.

He knows the truth.

It's just, well, he's a politician. He has an agenda, and legalizing/decriminalizing marijuana isn't part of it, or at least, he hasn't made it apparent..... yet. *crosses fingers*

We can hope he knows the truth and that he does the right thing. At the very least, he should have the DEA ease up on MMJ. Thats all I'm expecting from him, nothing more.

It isn't just him though so he shouldn't be singled out, that applies to almost all politicians. I've been writing them letters for years and now and then one will answer and discuss the issue a bit with me. Several years ago a candidate for office and I exchanged a few notes and in part he said the following.

The soft on crime accusation gets them every time, it makes a great 30 second commercial or bumper sticker but takes a bit more time and attention to detail to refute. Time the networks and too often we ourselves don't invest in the issues. Most already do know how the system really works. They are just waiting for us to make it safe for them before they do anything. Simple as that.

Purpose420 - I came up with that name because I believe whatever God their is gave me a purpose when I survived my accident and found marijuana to be beneficial, and that purpose is to show people that it works. Regardless of what we might think of it or call it pot, dope, medical marijuana, Gods drug to mankind whatever, point is we do the same to God, budda, Ala but you wanna know what it works and who the hell are we to stop it.

Words have been pretty uneffective on the way I feel or think about something, "show me" usually works best. don't talk about changing things DO IT people been talking for year's, where did it get us?

Hey Purpose, Thanks for posting this thread! I looked at the page quickly and and it seems like a great idea. I do actually think the president will be aware of the page and consider at least some of the comments.

I am trying to rally group donations from this site to various organizations but from what I have read lately, the biggest thing that can be done is to personally spread the word whether it be to politicians or your neighbors. I have been biased for a while but it doesn't seem like it should take much at this point to shed some light on the truth of the matter.

I still cant get over John Kerry not being in support of MMJ or decriminalization in massachusetts. Obama can only do so much when people like Kerry all over don't support MMJ or decrim. Id write the proverbial letter to Obama...but we might be better off writing to people like Kerry alike. If they got a thousands and thousands of letters...they just might change their minds.
