This would create a massive industry creating a wealth of American jobs right here at home. The would include farming, refining, shipping, storing, etc. We could even become an export nation of our product and ship to other countries !!


If 6% of the continental United States was planted with hemp, that would be enough for all of our energy needs (cars, heat, home, industry), and we use 25% of the worlds energy !! (we have the room to do this)

This seems like another question he would say "Barrack Obama does not support...", I think we should be asking "Why" and not "Yes or No" questions

Good point... I feel ya.. But at least this is the start of open dialogue which is more then we ever had before. If we keep telling them what we want .. and who we will support to represent us and our opinions ... we may get more accurate representation.

It cant hurt to vote it up and try in my opinion

I've got a question hopefully somebody here can answer. So i was talking to a friend of mine saying that marijuana could become a HUGE cash crop and his response was that it's better grown in other places so nobody would bother, and i was saying that different strains are suited for different climates and you can make fake climates in doors if you regulate humidity and temperature and all that. was my answer correct? is there more that i can retaliate with?

This doesn't hold up when considering hemp as an energy source. It takes a lot of energy to regulare humidity and temperature, and whatnot. When the plant becomes expensive to grow, it takes away from it's benefits, and leans people towards cheaper alternatives.

If you've noticed, all the crap weed comes from south of the American border. We have much more THC up here in Canada then they do in Mexico. And all our weed is Hydro. Also Hydro is grown all year round, so actually it would be imported less from Mexico, because they grow crappy pot. Though it may be imported from Canada because we have alot of expert growers up here

I always get a little leary when one item is promoted to be a "cure all" for all things. Our energy crisis will not be solved by hemp. Yes, hemp can be turned into fuel as can other plants.
