| While looking up some Florida government information today I came across the following stories. As long as the governor and attorney general keeps spewing this hateful propaganda, I can't see medical marijuana getting by let alone decriminalization. I contacted the local Norml chapters to see if there were any initiatives like in other states and the response I got was, "As usual, our elected officials agree with us in private and do what they see as political necessity in public. In the meantime, medical marijuana patients suffer. " Quote:

| Medivape, are you in FL? I am and have resigned myself to getting my medicine illegally. I don't see a change occurring in my lifetime. This state is so RED.

I am also in Florida, and must resort to obtaining my medicine illegally. Yes, this state is screwy, for sure.

| High Mom (I love your user name by the way). Yes I do live in Florida and not only that, I suffered a spinal cord injury when I was 23 that left me a quadriplegic. I'm paralyzed from the shoulders down with some very limited arm movement, however no finger, hand or tricep function. Along with this lovely package comes a lot of weird neuropathic pain. It's sort of like how an amputee can still feel pain in the missing appendage. Opiates can be prescribed for this type of pain, however it isn't the best remedy and the side effects can cause a lot more problems for those in my condition. Throughout the years I've been prescribed Percocet, morphine, methadone, OxyContin, Lorcet, and probably a couple more. To not take narcotics I have also tried other medications that focus around this type of pain and have settled on Lyrica. That happens to be a very expensive medication which there is no generic form. It helps to the extent that I do not take any of the narcotics listed above anymore, however I still grin and bear a shit load of pain on a daily basis that varies in intensity. Like anything else, some days are better than others. Marijuana helps with the pain and can make a shitty situation more tolerable mentally. Now the reason I laid all that out there is because besides the pain issues, I'm pretty healthy. In my mind I think I would be an obvious candidate for medical marijuana if it existed in the state of Florida, however other medical marijuana laws state it should be prescribed for gravely ill patients with AIDS, cancer, MS, etc. which I am not. So I'm wondering if they were going to be extremely hard ass and take it verbatim, would I not qualify? The Obama administration states on change.gov that they do not support the legalization of marijuana. I don't see a majority of Congress passing bills in both the Senate and the House supporting marijuana either not when this untrue anti-marijuana propaganda keeps getting shoved down our throats by the government. I'd like to see the DEA allow it to be scientifically studied anywhere around the country to for once properly educate the naïve, misinformed, and brainwashed people. So yeah, I agree that we will probably always be paying the marked up street price for a natural plant with medicinal qualities. ![]() |

| . Wow, Medivape you have a very positive attitude. Keep strong. And I agree, the MPP and NORML need to focus some more efforts into Florida. There are alot of patients in Florida vs other states and it would make sense to help all of those people. .

| Operators are becoming violent with other marijuana operators. So if you leagalized marijuana, It'd remove both grow ops on it's own. Prompting less "violence" Yet i've seen few pot heads get into a fist fight, Except for my drunkenself, And a few others while using cannabis (DON'T BANHAM ME IT WAS IN CONJUNCTION with marijuana) Lmao, Find the guy who wants to trade me marijuana pounds for coke pounds.
