Buzby - The single most important thing i have done beside work as a professional lobbyist for NORML in the Texas legislature in 2003 (thank you Mark Stepnoski) is to wear my t-shirt everytime i step outside the door (Cops Say Legalize Pot, ask me why) This allows me to have had thousands of conversations and to each i gave a business card w/ website.

2nd - street activism...go to the local big box store - or a busy intersection: If you are old enough to remember Burma Shave roadside advertising..picture this:

6 people space 20 feet apart each holding a two foot by two foot sign saying:

Support
Pot Prohibition
Drug Dealers
Need the $$
Gracias
Mex. Drug Cartels

visit your the local offie of your Members of Congress... you can make an appointment for 15 minutes w/ a staff aide. Best question: What are the advantages and positive outcomes of marijuana prohibition that causes your boss to support prohibition?

work for candidates that are closest to our position.

PS - also w/ your state senators and representatives/delegates.....you can see them directly, when the legislature is not in session....make that personal appearance.

Hey McGruff... oh yeah. the day will come when we allow adults (starting w/ an age restriction of 21) to have access to cannabis in the same manner as alcohol. I have been at this 12 years. i see it coming...the harder the recession, the faster this prohibiition is in the history books

Is it just me, or does reformation seem to be closer than ever? People have been saying "in the next 5 to 10 years, I guarantee it" since the 70's, but I truly believe it now more than ever. As someone actively involved in reformation, what is your take? Are things really moving swiftly (in a sense)?

wake & bacon... yes, things are moving as fast as you might be sensing. The lack of money at the state level is pushing MJ prohibition to the front and center....at the state level, as states must balance their budgets.

i know we have heard 'the end' is just around the corner for EVER. however, w/o being harsh, as people die off who never used MJ, resistance to change is crumbling.
