Ed Pearson is a Damn good lawyer and his opinions carry weight As do Alan Young Law Professor.

This Knock, talk and sniff, type of search has been declared an
unconstitutional search and seizure in Canada. Anyone arrested by such means
or have had their homes invaded and searched has lawful cause to have the
evidence excluded, Charter 24(2) and has lawful cause to sue for a minimum
500,000,00 $ dollars damages for blatant violation of their Charter rights.
Clear what they are doing is done in bad faith and knowingly contrary to the
Charter and the law.

Subject: Re: Cold front barrels north to invade Canadian border

Here in Canada we have our own issues to look after. While in Niagara Falls
yesterday I learned that the city has taken on a new approach to fighting
marijuana grow ops.

The police and city officials are doing "knock and talks" at houses and
apartments suspected of being grow ops to ask for permission to have a look
around. They are also questioning the neighbors as to activities suspicious
or otherwise all without benefit of a warrant or proof of illegal activity.
Two homes have already been discovered to be grow houses by using this new
technique and arrests were made.

As well I learned that COGECO aired a segment on the local cable channel in
which the Niagara Regional Police were discussing the then upcoming Hwy 420
Smoke Out on April 20.

Discussions revolved around video surveillance and possible future charges
being laid against those who attended the protest. If anyone is capable of
digging this info up to verify it I would be most grateful. If it is true a
response to this sort of injustice must be coordinated. If a tape of the
segment can be purchased I would like to obtain a copy. Am I paranoid or
does this really go too far as a means to address activism?

Well Gents, Just like to thank everybody for coming out to the Fill The Hill Event on June 5th on Parliement. I was a blast, and we found out that as tax payers we are being ROBBED.

Medical marijuana is the ****tiest swag to come out of Canada . It has a THC% value of 5.04 and is full of impurities. (i.e. stem and leaf) Here is the real shocker. It was said to cost 18 THOUSAND Canadian dollars to produce one ounce of inferior product.

Man I love being a Canadian. If Canadians want legal MJ vote NDP. They are in favour of complete legalization in Canada, including personal grow operations, and stores that sell Marijuana. I recommend viewing this if you havn't already. http://www.pot-tv.net/archive/shows/...owse-2271.html

I recently read an article in a newspaper saying that Vancouver police have decided to turn a blind eye to Marijuana users in a particular section of town. If anybody knows where Blunt Bros is, it's that street. People (18 and over) will be allowed to go in to Blunt Bros Cafe and have a couple tokes, eat some munchies, and buy a new piece. I havn't found an article on the internet about it yet but will try and find one and will post it as soon as I do.

Default Vancouver Sun Poll

I recently took a poll on the Vancouver Sun site, asking what Canadians think parliament should do about possesion of Marijuana. One of the four choices was Legalize and Tax it, which is currently in first place with an overwhelming 86%! You see this Gordon Campbell? This is your chance to win back some popularity after screwing up so riteously! Do the right thing! Legalize. Here is a link to the poll for anybody who wants to put in their two bits.

I hate to tell you this, but Blunt Bros. burned down. It was posted on the front page a while back. April or May? You've got some catching up to do in the news department.

Oh, forgot to mention, it was arson. I think there were 2 or 3 businesses that were destroyed and several more on the block were affected by smoke and water damage. The BC Marijuana Party Bookstore was out of operation for a few days and then reopened without hydro for a few days. Rumors were, they supsected the DEA, they have an office in Vancouver. A fire was set in a dumpster in the alley behind the buildings. I think it was a Sunday morning.

But, I think you can smoke at the Bookstore I mentioned and other places in the area that didn't burn. The attitudes are pretty lax in Vansterdam from what I've read, but only in the Hastings St. area, not the whole city.

Yes I knew ir burnt down, but on the Blunt Bros front page it says that rebuilding has already begun. Anyways i was just trying to give an idea to some people of the street where toking was to be allowed. The New Amsterdam Cafe and the BCMP Bookstore are still in business and smoking is allowed in those fine establishments. Here is a link to the Blunt Bros website.

Also, the Da Kine Cafe in Vancouver is selling many different kinds of weed to anyone over the age of 19 (the do ask for ID), and they have been operating for 4 months now without any problems, though now that the media has relized it and gave questioned Vancouver police about why its still open, the pressure is on to close it
