I want to write some kind of flyer or newsletter to educate the general public about marijuana. What are the restrictions on this? Do i need anything special to be able to distribute this to the general public? Would there be a chance i could get in trouble for doing this? What if i do this anonymously? what i also want to ask is, what is the best strategy for educating the general public of the United States about marijuana?

Maybe instead of flyers you could write an editorial for your local newspaper?

It's certainly a hot issue right now and it's not like it's illegal to talk about marijuana. Just write about the benefits of medical marijuana and how much money we would save by regulating and taxing it, and how it would take the money out of the hands of the real criminals. I'll help you if you want.

can i submit an article to the newspaper anonymously though? i couldnt give 2 shit about taking credit for it, but i dont want the feds after me.
what if i made flyers instead? and yes, infact whoever else is interested in helping me with this that would be awesome.
i was also thinking of putting it on a new myspace account or blog account of some kind, spamming any/everything with links. especially these online news articles talking about obama/drug policy/ etc.
i think that would actually be a good idea too.. that way it saves on production cost and anyone and their dog can spam ppl with links.

The Feds will not be knocking on your door because you submitted a newspaper editorial on the benefits of legalizing marijuana. In fact, at no point in this editorial do you have to or should you admit to using marijuana. You don't have to partake in toking to realize the benefits legalization would have on our economy.

And Spamming is not the way to go about this. If you want to be heard, you need to present your thoughts in a clear, concise, and logical manner that shows you are well educated on the subject matter.

I also recommend emailing your newspaper about this first to see if they would let you.

Hmmm, well I was merely offering to help, but since I just had ACL re-construction surgery and nothing better to do with my life for the next week or so, I might as well give it a shot. I'll try to have it up by tomorrow night.

oh thats true, i forgot about the part about me not having to admit i smoke. but what i meant abou tspamming is, not "spam" but rather just posting links everywhere to get people to read the article.
