After having some time to cool down, I am actually somewhat glad that Obama responded the way he did.

Yes, I would of much rather heard him say something along the lines of "I'll leave it up to the states to decide", but I knew that wasn't going to happen.

If Obama had just said "no" like last time, I don't think there would be as much media coverage.


However, him acting like a child, laughing at the same people who voted for him; and totally brushing off the question as a joke probably helped our cause a lot more then we think.

I would of never expected to see news channels like CNN putting up polls asking whether it was appropriate for Obama to laugh off the idea of marijuana legalization.

I would of never imagined this type of support a year ago. From documentaries, to coverage of marijuana on the news, the times are definitely changing.

Shit I would do that if I didn't just have knee surgery.

And speaking of that, I just toked up for the first time since I had my ACL reconstructed, and I must say it is amazing how the weed can take your mind off of the pain. Even though I have 650 mg of percocet in me as well, the pain is still pretty bad. I'm really glad I smoked and I'm finally realizing the medicinal benefits of weed. I would much rather toke than take that percocet. But I must say, I don't mind doing both.

I noticed alot of new users signed up and were speaking up

so i think we gained some people

Yeah, your right nightwitch, there has been an increase of new people on these forums. Hopefully these new users have the same passion as all of us to get marijuana legalized .

I think now what we have to do is concentrate on getting those NORML ads on TV. I believe they have $11,000 donated so far out of the $20,000 they want. I am still new to marijuana, having only smoked it twice so far (recently too), and was about to buy an eighth, but I think I could hold out and donate now. The sooner these ads start playing on TVs around the nation the better .
