There was supposed to be a vote on March 31st I think for California Assembly Bill 390 (Marijuana Control, Regulation, and Education Act). Has there been any news on this bill....did they push the date to another day yet again? Or did they vote already?

| Mass. probably wont pass, California probably wouldn't have either. These bills are mostly ice-breakers to get politicians thinking. Even so, this extra year will give it plenty of time to gather momentum. Hopefully.

I wonder if they look at it as a race and if they see an advantage to being the first state to legalize it. Certainly, many jobs would be created, therefore bringing in more people to live, work and pay taxes within the state. Plus that state would make a killing in tourism. They're probably punching out a list of economic benefits as we speak.

haha, good point. I guess "race" is an overstatement. In any case, I'm gonna make a friendly wager that Cali gets there first. The support appears greater over there at the moment.

Can someone give a link to where it says that it'll be pushed to early 2010? Can't find many articles on this. I suppose this will give some time for momentum to build up. BTW, now that this has been pushed to next year can the bill be modified? For example lowering the age they have planned from 21 to 18, which is far saner IMO.
