Well i was thinking after reading Norml.org article on the front page about the police chief or whatever. What if a major PHARMACEY started to dispense MARIJUANA??? Could this happen YES. Should we push for it, YES. Think about it and let me know cause it could get it to go more mainstream than before especially with other STATES allowing it. Just a thought. Let me know what you think, all criticism welcome and if you post don't forget you can get criticism to

It'd be cool but doubt it. When you think about it, some pills are time released synthetic drugs that are actually the same potency if not stronger than some of today's street drugs so it's kinda ironic that pharmacies sell these to the masses and it's legal. Sellin pot to the masses would be like selling Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Everyone wins.

AH yes that's the point. its more money. After all money talks and talk walks right???(Rhetorical) Once they realize the money aspect they could win and come to our side.

I don't know, I've always thought if weed became legal more people would start smoking which would cut big losses to the pill industry. I would think theres more money in prescription drugs than marijuana.

Yes but I mean my mom takes clonipin(sp?) for bipolar and I know my best friend did clonipin and the street value is way higher than the pharmacy. It's crazy, but true. I think if we legalized it to buy, but not to grow the government would make a major profit!

I wasn't thinking street value for prescription drugs. Thats a whole other story, they're making a killing right now legally selling scripts to people in need.

bolded statement: That would work in theory. You can't legalize to buy and not to grow, seeds will still be abundant. People will still grow their own weed, thus making the government lose money. I agree there would be a significant profit once marijuana is legalized, however nothing compared to what the tobacco and pharm industries are raking in now.

Yes but you are giving an alternative that people would always buy. I'm not saying no-one should grow there own, that would be something I'm definitely for. But the people that can't grow have a source for the meds at a one shop place. Why drive to two different places to get both scripts. Pharmacies don't get payed by the makers of the drugs (may get perks) but they don't get payed by them. like anything it would be another source of income. But we do have to see what can be done about the perks they receive, which i think are illegal or is that just doctors???

that won't ever happen. pharmacies are the first ones to dispute natural remedies as useless, and rather push their laboratory produced pills to "cure" you.
