Default Do you think Canada might legalize soon?

Most of the population agrees with the statement "Marijuana should be legalized". The Harper administration is brutally hated right now. Canada dollar has fallen from parity with the US dollar to 80 cents. Everyone HATES the gov't right now. The conservatives might actually win a next election. After all, the Americans got a democrat, we might get a liberal party incontrol (Liberals/NDP/Block Quebecios) all would think about legalizing.

Am I wishful thinking, or am I onto something?

I have been thinking the exact same thing. We need liberals IN.... (or NDP, but thats more of a long shot) if we wanna get this legalized anytime soon. I wrote a detailed e-mail to Michael Ignatieff about how we need to get marijuana legalized and all the ways it would help our country.

Marijuana legalization will obviously never happen under the current government. We need to get the people in who CAN make it happen.

I'll do whatever I can to show my support and get this issue in the spotlight as an election issue.

Fuck, I hate Harper and his party's ass backwards policies.

But I'll finaly be able to vote in the next election, and it sure as hell ain't going towards the conservatives. Layton has said numerous times he'd legalized pot, maybe I'll vote ndp.

Nova Scotia seems to be leaning NDP...Would be the first time a party member not from liberal or conservative would be elected.

Yeah, that blew my mind. NS seemed a lot like a PC kinda province to me.

Ultimately, I think if the liberals, NDP, green party, or bloc get majority government, we're on spliff street

According to wikipedia, cannabis has been decriminalized in Canada. That means that its legal to possess small amounts (under an ounce) for personal use. Thats all that I can ask for.
