A Drug War Truce? : Rolling Stone

In the most recent issue of Rolling Stone, there is an article about the the Drug War including an intreview with our current drug czar. It was stated multiple times in the article that Obama WILL NOT consider legalization and all such debate is essentially off the table as far as he is concerned. Wil;l this possibly put to rest the claims to the contrary, the thousands of people who somehow believe that he has had somwe secret agenda to legalize despite never stating anything remotely like that publically? Where did that idea even come from? Obama has never been "pro-legalization". Just becasue he enjoyed weed doesn't mean he wwants it legal. Bush enjoyed cocaine, but I not once saw him advocating its legalization, either. Obama is a politican, first and foremost. Rocking the status quo costs votes and political capital. Please, lay the lagalization rumors to rest and realize we stillnneed to fight the good fight rather than rely on Obama, a hope and a prayer....because if we give up now and merely hope for the best, we can expect the worst.
