Think about how un egit legal marijuana actually is. There are thousands of doctor prescribed medications. How many of these medications are an actually plant part? and if your in pain theres realistically alot of other drugs that would accomplish the same goals better.

Don't get me wrong i think medical marijuana is great.

But its less of a health use and more of a step toward spreading its grow and making it more accepted and available.

I am sorry if I misunderstand you (that made little seance to me. im not trying to be a jerk or anything)

if you are trying to say drugs are better than mj when it comes to meds. that may be true for you or even other ppl but i for one do not like the side effects of prescribed drugs. (my kidneys are failing because of proscribed pain and arthritis meds.)

mj takes care of the pain and dose not hurt me like the drugs have.

mj is a medicine.

also there are a lot of drugs that are made from plants many cancer drugs are derived from plants found in the rain forest.

aspirin was originally made from white willow bark (it may still be)

now i do agree med mj is a great stepping stone for legalization. I hope to see it in every state one day.

If it takes medical marijuana to wake the silent majority of Americans to the fact that their government has moved from a protect and serve mode to a search and seize way of business,then good.
The medical uses for marijuana are already documented,by the Chinese doctors that used it,centuries and centuries of them,and although they didn't even have microscopes and computers to work with,they had actual patients and kept records of the success's and failures with all the herbal medicines they worked with.
But until the DEA is removed as the deciding power for medical studies required to prove the validity of marijuana's medical uses,we will never know the full potential of
the plant to heal sickness,or prevent it.
But as a sleeping pill,the DEA has given enough tests to prove that when you partake of too much marijuana,it puts you to sleep,whether smoked,vaporized or eaten and does so without any toxic effects or dangerous side effects.
That alone makes it a safer alternative than any of the chemical sleep agents on the market today that have so many adverse effects that they have to use a 30 second ad just to list them all.

The pharmaceutical commercials are insane! The ads alone have cause me to stop taking all prescriptions. Over the last 6 months, I have reduced outgoing expenses of about $150 a month because I quit the big pharm's. Let me tell you, the withdrawal for anti-depressants is a painful one. Never have I had a withdrawal symptom from stopping mj--never!
