i think the first step for pot becoming legal is for it to be legal for medicinal use first. the reason most people wouldnt vote for it to be legal or whatever is either because they are narrow minded about it because theyve never done it or bulls*** govenment propaganda. once its medically legal people may have a diffferent view about it. if people chose to look at its positive affect rather than its negatives (in any situation, not just pot) the world would be a better place THERE WILL ALWAYS BE THOSE WHO JUDGE YOU ITS UP TO YOU TO CHANGE THEIR MINDS

I'm New To This Site And This Forum, And I'm Not Sure If This Possible Solution Has Been Brought Up Before Here, But Hey...why Not Do What They Do With America's Other Vices...tax The **** Out Of Mj And Use The Proceeds For Things Like Educational Programs, Senior Citizens, Responsible Use...etc? Hell If Enough Private Citizens Or Corporate America Got Into The Mix It Could Be A Huge Boost To Our Economy. And If (god Forbid) Big Brother Started Growing They'd Either Clear The Nat'l Debt Or Be Really Happy With All The Proceeds Lining Their Pockets!

i duno about "tax the **** out of marijuana", but yea, when (and notice, im saying when, not if ) marijuana will be legalized, it will be taxed, of course, because the government will want to make money off of it. it would be great it the money made when to schools and healthcare, but this will probably only be a small portion of the proceeds.as it stands, this is a pro towards legalizing marijuana, from the govenrments point of view. but this dose not out-weigh the cons of marijuana, because if it did, it would be legal ![]()

Look, there are two outcomes here, either in 5-7 years pot will be fully legal, if we push hard enough to re-educate people who have been brainwashed, or, it will never be. This is because the black market is GIGANTIC! It is so easy and cheap (when considering how much a little above minumum wage pays) to grow that if they legalize it, they fear they won't make a profit so they won't.

good point - yea, marijuana will never be legal to grow, because then the government would want to make money off of it. smoking it still might and i think will become legal because then the government could still start mass producing it, selling it for much cheeper then ppl who cant grow it legaly. lets say... 24 doobies in a pack?

You can bet your life savings, industrial hemp production will return to the US when the oil runs out. Its my suspicion that this is a long range goal of the powers that be. In the next 20 years, when China (the world's number one grower of industrial hemp) and the USA (world's number one consumer of cannabis) has bought up, and used up all the oil, Hemp stocks will be part of the standard market indexes. The banks and energy companies will own all the available licensed farmland for growing said crops, and reap all the benefits.

if weed becomes legal, im sure many people would start growing their weed, i know i would. but the number of people willing to invest the time and effort to grow would be tiny compared to the whole population, so the market for commercial weed would still be huge.
