I've been a highly visible activist for more than 30 years. I speak in public, write letters to the editor, write editorials in newspapers, and read op-ed pieces I've written on National Public Radio. I haven't been "profiled and tracked until eventually arrested". I was busted for possession in 1970 (before Ohio decriminalized pot) and went to jail for it. That's why I put so much energy into promoting legalization: so that 700,000 of my brothers and sisters won't have to suffer the same indignities that I suffered, each and every year.

The cops would love to catch me dealing or growing, so I don't. As long as I'm under the limit for minor misdemeanor possession I have very little to worry about. In Ohio, that means I have to keep my stash below 100 grams. Busting a highly visible activist for petty possession would just make them look silly and vindictive.

If it were legal it would definitely cost less than it does now, not to mention the real benefit. The fact that you could grow your own legally. That's what I want. To be free of being forced to break the law and deal with drug dealers trying to charge as much as they possibly can for a plant I can grow.

I agree with Plainsman 100% about Americans not speaking in for what they believe in... You only got 500 people nowadays complaining about society's flaws, its just not enough people, you think problems will be solved by someone else but in reality its you who haves to do the involvement. Look I love this country alot and by this country I mean the United States, I don't know why people bitch and complain about hating it so much, if you hate it then why don't you pack your bags and go to Canada which EVERYONE is so in love with. To sum it up
1.You don't like something get out there with tons and tons of people and protest
2.Don't just sit there and preach, wow geez Im a hypocrite but its true
3.If they were to legalize Marijuana wouldn't you think that gasoline stations of 7-11's would even sell pot? Wouldn't they have dispensiaries were they just concentrate on pot and pot accessories

I think they should legalize it because they could eventually put the "dealers" out. If the started to mass produce marijuana, they could sell it cheaper, maybe not by much. All they would have to do is sell it in bags,joints,blunts,etc. and take all the seeds out.. I think that would eventually get rid of almost all plants in peoples homes except for the ones that already exist. Just think how many ppl would buy weed if it was legal and a few bucks cheaper..Yeah...
