Both are areas I don't dicuss. Sorry.
It would be interesting to know, but no problem.

KWhite, why are you so knowledgeable and helpful about the U.S. and its drug prohibition and such? Most people in the U.S. wouldn't be helping to end Germanys marijuana prohibition. Its Admirable.

Default Herbninja

I wish to end marijuana prohibition worldwide.
I am an American who basically foloowed his heart and his wife back to her country.
A LOT of reasons behind that decision.
Love was the main one I think.
So, ending prohibition in Germany is out of selfishness.
I live here and can only benefit by it.
Ending prohibition of marijuana in America.
What can I say?
I am and will remain an American forever.
No matter which dark roads she takes, I know she will walk back into the sunlight of equity.
As long as we speak and speak right! So long as we defend the ability to speak out, cherish that ability as the right it is, and keep it safe from the grasping talons of those who wish to silence us. then She will always find her way to the light of day.

She is my Nation. I may be angered with Her, am far from her soil.
That does not and cannot mean I do not miss her, more so perhaps because I chose to leave her.

I think marijuana prohibition is evil.
Plain and simple, it causes misery to many people with no just reason.
It seems to me the nature of evil, should it cause misery to even one person, then we should fight it. But be aware that I seek to benefit myself as well.

I had not the money nor connections for my own political career, so I took this road.
Using methods learned in life, fact presentation I learned from people like Panama and Richard Cowan.
Debate, I have learned much from Niteshift, commonsense, Greenman and even yourself.
It is the forum I have available to me, it allows me to at least believe some part of what I am doing is affecting my home.
My country. Perhaps it eases the ache somewhat when I look at the north sea and realize I will most likely never touch Her soil again.
My children are growing here, they are dating, if and when grandchildren come, I will not wish to leave them.

I will remain here. A stranger in a strange land.
But I will remain an American.
With all that that entails.

Knowledgeable?
I have a problem with putting up facts and representing them as facts, unless I am certain in my own mind they are such.
So I search and I read, I remember and test.
Thus does knowledge grow.
I suppose that is all the answer I can give you.
I hope it suffices

Kelly

I am having a bit of trouble finiding particulars on some of these people.
using the limited sources I have.
I may have to pull my foot out of my mouth.
But not before at least trying to chew it.

Actually Kelly, if you just hold your cursor over their name, it gives you a real short bio of each one. Don't know if you caught that or not.

Former New Jersey Cop Speaks Out for Marijuana Legalization
Quote:
Ottawa Sun via Associated Press

OTTAWA (CP) -- A retired drug cop found an attentive crowd gathered on Parliament Hill on Saturday to protest marijuana prohibition and advocate regulation.

Jack Cole is not the type of person you would expect to see at a rally to legalize pot.

During his 26-year career with the New Jersey state police, Cole spent 12 years as an undercover narcotics officer.

His investigations ran the gamut from street drug dealers to international drug trafficking organizations.

Now retired, Cole has taken a decidedly different stance on the role of illegal drugs in society.

Cole is a founding member and executive director of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, an international, drug-policy-reform organization consisting of current and former members of law enforcement.

``I believe in legalizing all drugs,'' Cole said, explaining that legalization would allow the government to regulate and control the distribution, consumption and production of drug _ therefore forcing criminals out of the equation.

``When I speak to police officers on a one-to-one basis, they almost always agree with me that the war on drugs is a dismal failure,'' he said.

The Fill the Hill rally drew an estimated crowd of 1,500 people.

Later, a man was arrested nearby with a hockey bag full of marijuana.
Earlier I posted an update on California Senator-Hopeful-Judge Jim Gray's moves for legalisation, and California seemed a million miles away.
Thankfully on the same day are reports of support from someone from my own state, and i can honestly say it feels "warm and fuzzy" to know not everyone here (in this state) is ignorant of the situation, especially someone with so much experience.
