| As a bit of reinforcment to the letter you send to your representive, encourage someone else in your community to personally write a letter to your senator. The mayor of New York has commended that he smoked pot, and has set the attitude politicians should have in order to gain the favor of the public. If senators and presidents looked to gain the favor of the public rather then favor of others already country wouldnt be so shameful. Your mayor and police chief are others you can encourage to contact your senator. Remember, marijuana is a part of the culture in your city, the people who use it should not be discriminated against. Inform your mislead teachers about the immorality of the drug war, they may spread the message. Some teachers already smoke pot. Due to adolecent immaturity (mostly in highschool students) and job insecurity, they may hold back on speaking their views to the class. Teachers can have a way with words on paper. If our prewritten letters dont work, the next step is to write our own. It may take people in large numbers to convince a senator to change their mind, but it only takes a few to change the minds of a large number of people. If you dont believe me look at the history of the catholic church. This can work for us as it can work for the DEA. For now, communication is our weapon. |

| The human condition predicates that the things we fear the most will be brought to bear by our own actions or inactions. The politicians fear that their political careers will be ruined if they support marijuana legalization. It's time to bring these fears home to them, and put an end to their political careers at the polls. |

| Remember, when you register to vote, and do, you are hiring someone to represent you and your views. Why not let them know how you want them to do their job, for you. It's how the system is supposed to work. So work it!

| Absolutley! If you understand anything about the law of agency you will realize that your representative is YOUR agent in the federal government. An agent has a duty of due diligence to represent you and advocate your position in good faith. Like an attorney who would represent you in court is your agent. That is why you should let your US representative know where you stand on the issues pertaining to federal government. This could be anything from marijuana laws to sexual harassment in the workplace. Whatever you are passionate about. Regardless of the issue, if you do not make it clear to your representatives in the state where you live and in US House of Representatives, how can you ever expect your agent to represent your views? Write, Call, Visit, and above all Vote for your agent if they do a good job! And if they're not representing you, Vote for an agent who will! |
