| We need to first convince the rich (and very powerful) corporations that legalisation is worth them lobbying for. This is the true state of our democracy and the smartest way to change a law. The most attractive target seems to be cigarette companies. (Beer companies would definitely be against as it might affect sales adversely) They could have special blends and they are already prepared to compete in the smoking business. Even if current prices are cut by 90% after legalisation, cigarette companies still stand to turn a serious financial profit by manufacturing 'weed' cigarettes. With cigarettes becoming increasingly taboo, this seems to be a logical step. They could have a no sales to minors law. A brilliant law that pleases both opponents of smoking and tobacco companies, effectively boosting sales to minors because of its fabricated legal danger. Any other suggestions? |

| I'm not a very nice person. I heard that cigarette companies trademarked all the names people use for good bud like "White Widow" or "Acapulco Gold" etc., but considering that they used to be in the PDFA I doubt they actually want it legalized... |

| As long as cigarette companies don't add chemicals to the weed, grow them with phosphate fertilizers, sell only schwag quality weed, and charge ridiculous prices for it, I'm okay with them selling pot.

| Beer and marijuana have 2 very different effects. Legalization will just give them more room for expansion. Think if marijuana had the legality of caffine. |

| anheiser-busch (beer producer, owns budweiser) is the biggest contributor to anti-marijuana campaigns, yet they were the sponsor for the 2002 Smoke-Out Tour, a concert dedicated entirely to MJ with bands that love MJ playing...makes you realize what a twisted world we live in.
