| i'm bored, so i thought i'd post my thoughts. will legalization ever happen? things may be looking bleak right now, but i think that it may not be too far away. recently, the government seems to be focusing extra hard on putting dealers and growers (medical and not) in jail. but personally, i think this is their last big battle as far as marijuana goes in the war on drugs. look at the facts. marijuana is becoming more and more accepted in countries around the world. if i'm correct, marijuana use is at an all time high (hehe, high...get it?). but anyway, marijuana is a part of today's popular culture. smoking is a common way to relax among high school kids. even the majority of the one's who do not smoke, have no problem with the ones that do. i predict that by the time the next generation takes over congress, our contries marijuana laws will begin to reform. we all just have to learn to vote for the right candidates who support our activities. and if the government stopped with all this false advertising of people who smoke hitting little girls with cars, shooting their friends with guns, and raping girls at parties and actually gave americans the FACTS, such as what percentage of marijuana users are tax paying, law abiding citizens, then i think we would have legalization already. in fact, the only anti-weed commercial i've seen that is somewhat accurate is the one of those two guys smoking in the bathroom who proceed to get arrested. how could our country fix this problem?? by legalizing marijuana! yes, marijuana CAN get you busted, but WHY? people are going to smoke no matter what the legal penalty is so why spend billions of dollars punishing these people when we could be making billions of dollars producing and taxing this product. i'm sure im not the first person on the site to point this out so sorry, i just had to vent some anger. i think the first paragraph was the part i was looking for a response on but i got caught up in the excitement and lost track of my point. but if i actually had anything in there worth responding to, feel free. |
