Default The trouble with our Green Planet!

The trouble, with our green planet, as I see it... Is: Well, let's face it, it's not 'Green' enough! Because everything about this world, was based in part, by "Alcoholic's"! Have you ever known an 'Alcoholic'? Or are you one too?

Have you ever known an Alcoholic, and lived to see how they're always singling out, certain people, an spend all their time, tearing these people down. Don't you know that this is what 'Alcohol', is all about? Getting low, and degrading people; so as to build their own distorted Ego, an place themselves as 'King Juicer', at the top of the heap! (What a heap!)

I'm telling you now folks, the whole world, would be in a whole lot better shape, if we would have built the world, on grass; instead of 'Alcohol', I.E., 'Alexander', and the grapes that made their wines!
What would of the world have been like if they'd all just smoked til' they were green, and just said, 'Fuck it', I'm going home, to Greece! I don't feel like fighting today! You do it, if you want... I'm hungry, and I want some fried chicken! Maybe a coke, and fries! Whatta' ya' say, "Men"?

This whole wide world, needs a new face lift; but it'll never happen, as 'Alcohol', is here to stay! Too many dumb people... Too many go getter's...
Too many greedy people, whom want all that they can get, and to hell with all the rest of humanity! This is the current 'Mindset', of the world at large! This is why there is no peace, and I'm here to tell you... I would always be proud to be labled a: 'Pothead' vs.; a: 'Alcoholic'! Anyday...

Too bad, as this is why there is no legalizing 'Maryjane', as it's not a breeding ground of "Go-Getter's", it doesn't breed people whom will be quote;unquote: 'Productive', enough to be deemed worthy in our society's today! We as 'Potheads', don't make things happen! But, there again, maybe this is why the world turns so fast, and is so crazy! It's because, the mindset of a class of people, seem to think you have to be productive, to move ahead, to be constantly moving 'Forward', per sa...

What if moving forward wasn't always, getting ahead 'Financially'? What if moving forward wasn't drinking yourself into believing that this is the only way to live? What if moving forward wasn't always thought of as being perpetually 'Productive'? What if moving forward, was lying down with your neighbor and toking up, so as to settle disputes? What if moving forward was announcing to the whole world, "I'm sick of the way things always relate, back to a 'Monetary' existence!" There's got to be a different way!

Really? What's your basis for that conclusion? Alcoholics don't tend to be very successful. Neither do people whose lives center around any recreational drug. Only 10% of people who drink become alcoholics. A smaller percentage of mj users become hard-core, several times a day, smokers. They don't tend to accomplish much.

I haven't noticed that, but I hang our with responsible adults who don't think getting stupid drunk is the way to have a good time.

We'd all be speaking Persian. It was the Greeks decisive military victory over the Persians that determined the future course of western civilization.

There's nothing wrong with alcohol used in moderation. In fact, a drink or two a day is good for your heart. The stereotype of the stoner sitting around being apathetic is just an excuse for stoners to sit around being apathetic. "I'm not a lazy slob! I'm a stoner!" I'm a go-getter and mj never got in my way because I used it in moderation at appropriate times. Without go-getters we'd all still be living in caves.

Why would you be proud to be identified as someone whose life centers around any recreational drug? They're great for recreation. They deeply suck as a lifestyle.

We as 'Potheads', don't make things happen!
People who sit around all day getting stoned don't make things happen. Neither to people who lie around all day getting drunk. People who use either drug in moderation can pretty much accomplish whatever they want. I had a 26 year career as a systems analyst. Carl Sagan was a full professor of Astronomy at Cornell, wrote books, and produced and starred in a television series. Peter Lewis is the chairman and CEO of Progressive Insurance.

It's a lot easier to sit around and bitch about how "they" have screwed up the world. I doubt that you'd be very happy if the productive people stopped making sure that all the groceries and consumer goods you need are on the shelves when you want to buy them.

I don't think alcohol is the problem. I think people's lack of self control over their vices; is the problem.

I agree with Buzzby on his points. Not to be a jerk or anything but I think ZiggMJZagg is one of those steriotypical "stoners" that are making it such an impossible task for us responsible tokers to convince the general public that recreational use of marijuana is not the worst thing in the world especially when used by people who know when to stop and where to use marijuana. This post sounds like Zigg wrote it while he was tripping on something because all of his points are very weak and really don't make all that much sense. I will admit that he was close to making a good point in that I believe alcohol causes more problems and dangers than weed. I personally feel that alcohol is much easier to abuse in that it takes longer to hit giving more time to accidentally pass the limit of responsible drinking and in that when a drinker takes it too far, I believe someone that is smashed is a much more dangerous driver than a stoned person and are able to interact with the general public much less smoothly and safely than someone who is baked. Just one point I'd like to make is that when a person is driving while smashed, they usually feel and urge to drive above the speed limit and beyond their driving ability, while every person I've ridden with while they were high actually drove about five under and was much more cautious and alert than a drunk person and is probably even more cautious than someone that is sober. This is just my opinion and I'd appreciate it if nobody bashed my personal beliefs.
