Ok I personally, don't agree with this but for school reasons I have to... I'm doing a debate on the negative of why we should make marijuana legal in the us.. in other words keeping it illegal! how much does that suck? but still any help here guys? please help!!! Why should we keep marijuna legal???!!!!???

maybe you should eat ****. either that, or change the subject of your project. thats what id do. go up to your teacher and say, "i do not agree with the subject of my paper, may I change it?" then do it on pro-mj! and if she says u cant, kick her in the balls and walk off, blowing smoke rings above your head as she grovels in pain on the ground..... heh....wow. and who said drinking doesnt make u violent?

That's a tough one.

Maybe you could say something about how it's psychologically addictive. Or you could spurt the lies, like WNB was saying, and then say, "Oh, it has to be true - look at the source! The government would never lie!"

If your grade doesn't depend on if you win or not, you could even be honest, and then, of course, the other side would win. Convince your classmates, you know.

although it wouldnt realy be devistating to the other person whos pro-mj.. you could talk about the few, minor side effects of marijuana.. such as increased hunger, drousiness... perhaps state the risk of driving while stoned and falling asleep.

Or you could just take **** from those "truth" commercials... i love the newest one... marijuana has 4x the ammount of tars and cancer causing chemicals then tobacco.. but in reality.. whos gona smoke 20 joints a day?

But that realy doesnt deal with legal issues.. just medical and down sides for the smokers them selves

"Truth" heh heh heh... yeah, Tar is the end-all, be-all of carcinogens. Forget about the carcinogens pot is very low on/does not contain, and cigarettes are very high on, such as lead-210 and broken-down nicotine. Don't bother to take note that they're comparing filtered cigarettes with filter-less joints; a fair comparison is not called for here. Nevermind that pot acts as a bronchial dialator and helps open the lungs up, thus allowing for more clean air to enter the lungs and clear them out. Likewise, discard the fact that nicotine is a bronchial constrictor, which reduces airflow and allows the toxins to stay in longer and do more damage. Oh, and there's a new study reveals nicotine exposure increases tumor mass, unlike THC which actualy shrinks them; also beside the point. Don't waste time thinking about how disproportionate the number of cancer cases caused by pot are, given how horribly unhealthy pot is portrayed as by the government; it has no place in this discussion. Statistics always lie, unless they're statistics that are "uncontestable proof" that marijuana use has given some people throat cancer, then it's gospel-truth, despite the obvious suspiciousness of contracting cancer in the throat instead of the lungs; the organ most-exposed to the smoke...

Remember, as the US government has demonstrated to us on countless times; when it comes to the legality of marijuana, there is no need to deal with the facts.

WY don't you just TELL THEM THE TRUTH about how if it is legalized all the profits will go to the BIG BOY'S and the government.

You can tell them that it should be kept IL-LEGAL so that the government cant go lacing it with stuff that will make it more addictive , like they do with cigarettes !

You can also tell them that if it ever becomes legal we will lose our PRICE stability.

( the price of weed has not changed around here for 15 years !)

If it ever becomes legal we will most certainly have more frequent price increases. TELL THEM THAT !

Also tell them that a lot of people and government R fine with it the way it is. So lets LEAVE IT THE F.... ALONE.


Now, if they want to talk about legalizing hemp production, I would have a hard time telling them WY WE SHOULDN'T DO IT !!

you could make it truthfull, but still pro-legal. for example:

Keeping weed illegal is good for the country, because it creates a huge burocracy and give the gov't billions of dollars it could not get otherwise.

Illegal weed helps the police by giving them a reason to arrest dissedents and other undesirables, like artists, teenagers, and hippies.

It also helps the LAPD especially, in their continuing quest to arrest and harass all those who may have been born with more pigment.

It helps all our dearly loved elected leaders by allowing the pharm, oil, alcohol, tobacco, and textile industries to continue to give bribes (oops, i mean campain donations) in order to not disturb their presious marketshare.

by being anti-pot, say you are pro-drug lord and pro-underground trading. Say you love watching thousands of non-violent users go to prison for possesion every year. And encourage other people who feel the same way to vote for its illegality.
