Default How to Legalize Marijuana.

I know how to win the fight to legalize marijuana.

House Speaker Dennis Hastert will not support federal legislation to protect pot growers and smokers in states such as California, where medical marijuana is legal, a spokesman for the Republican leader said Thursday.

Focus on house leadership. Instead of spinning our wheels and money on all of these organizations lobbying all of these Senators and Representatives, find out which state and district Hastert is from, and support his competition in the next election, and campaign against him in his district. Even if he is re-elected, he'll think twice before summarily dismissing bills legalizing marijuana.

Focus on voting the Speaker of the House, the Majority and Minority leaders, and the leaders in the Senate out of office if they will not support the legalization of marijuana. Bills for marijuana legalization will go no where if the leadership will not support them.

Representatives come up for re-election every two years! If a Leader of the house fails to support legalization of marijuana bills, they know it will be like falling on their own sword because the pro-marijuana legalization movement will initiate a campaign against them in the their district in the very next election.

Mindsets in Congress will change overnight.

Which state and district does Hastert represent?

Which states and districts do the House Majority and Minority leaders represent. Do they support marijuana legalization?

What does everyone think and, who do we need to talk to initiate this plan?

I actually learned this technique from our president, bypass everyone else and go straight for the leadership.

In combination with all the other initiatives by the marijuana legalization movement, I think this one has the potential for being extremely effective.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I agree, congressman tend to only have foresight to the next election.

I think it could be very effective, unless the other side is against legalization also.

Which reps and senators are christians?

4/20 Easter sunday= A sign from God= WWJD

When it comes down to marijuana being a religous and cultural freedom, America will stand by its motto.

The irresponsiable users who make the drug culture look bad.
The politicians are debating addiction.
We need to let the senators know there are resposible users.

Since the black market supports terrorism, we should fight for legalized personal cultivation. Growing plants is a great hobby
and one appreciates the fruits of their own garden. Growers tend to be more conservitive with their fruits when the yield is low. To fight overusage they could limit the number of plants we are allowed to grow.

It is our birthright to be able to make the choice for ourselves.

How many particurally powerful politicians how the power to really set the marijuana decriminalization ball roll? If there are any, why arn't they doing it? Because of propaganda and lies. If they support it, they're f****ed and they know it. Voters won't vote for someone who wants this devil plant legalized. I think our first big step should be to get the truth out, and then focus on the people who spread the lies. The question is how.

Doesn't really matter as long as the guy who is in office now and against the legaliztion of marijuana loses his job.

Politicians are pretty smart. They'll know that they're a target if they oppose it. The cool thing is, we only have to be successful once to send the message.

Jim Talent Mo-R is my local senator. He is currently supporting the war on drugs. Im going to write to him to debate marijuana legalization. Perhaps he will see it as a sign from God when he finds out my address is 4200.
