just an update:

after not receiving my volcano vap and getting no response from half dozen emails sent to the NORML Canada website i finally contact mastercard and removed my donation... i just felt the organization was sketchy if they wouldn't send out the promised product... couldn't trust that they'd do anything for legalization ...

SOOO!!! I donated 1100 bucks to The Green Party of Canada instead... it's a new party but already receives about 11% of the popular vote... hopefully they start winning some seats in the next election or in the coming by elections...

anyway the green party also advocates legalization along with many other positive changes for canada... so i feel it's a good change up.

later

Wow I can't believe I didn't see this earlier.
That's really great man! Even considering you didn't donate to NORML, you still made a very appreciable donation to The Green Party! It's great to know that there are people that help out the cause like you.

I wish you all the best man. Know that it's much appreciated around these parts that you would do something like that

How are they out of jobs?

They're still politicians. When Alcohol was made legal the Alcohol lobbyists didn't go away.

So all the people at NORML, and this Green place, are the same politicians that continue to vote against the legalization of Marijuana?

I don't think so.

The guy that answers the phone to get your donation, is out of a job. His boss is out of a job. His boss is out of a job. Get it?

If Marijuana is legalized, there is no longer a need to Reform Marijuana Laws, no need for a National Orginization. Get it?

No.

You misunderstood my post (due to admittedly poor phrasing).

No he's not. He still needs to take donations for the lobbyists who will have to get money in order to keep marijuana legal.

The Alcohol lobby didn't disappear when alcohol was relegalized, did it?

Your grasp of reality is absolutely amazing.

Just because NORML is no longer a required group doesn't mean that the group itself will disband. Historically, when a group achieves a goal, they rename/regroup and go after another one.

If the country legalized Medical Marijuana, the next step will be Recreational. And so on...

So, no matter how much money any of us is to donate, all these groups will continue to need our money? No matter how much money they get, and what they accomplish, they will still need more?

And i was wondering why America had to borrow 130 billion dollars from China.

Thanks for clearing that up.

DUH

Where, exactly, did I say they will always need more money?

Okay, this is not the place for this. I applaude this person for the willingness to share his monies with others fighting a simular battle.

I, personaly, object to the constant barrage of groups seeking donations, and yet there has been no justifiable improvement of said groups purpose.

Lets leave it at that.
