Question supreme court case?

So, from what I have read, the Supreme Court is going to start the case for the constitutionality of prohibition of cannibus on teusday. I'm not familiar with the system up north, so does anyone have any idea how long it will take for this case to be finished up and ruled on?

something like 6 months...the arguments will only be a day or two but then the judges go away and research, think etc...then come back with a decision...

check out marijuananews.com for more on this...you'd probably have to search for it...

It's not too likely that the current supreme court will legalize it, constitutional or not. The fact remains that they're so conservative that they can barely agree that sodomy should be legal. If they barely allow sodomy, you can forget about legalizing pot.

The constitutionality of the subject doesn't matter, never has, and never will. Middle America is too much against legalization, due to reefer madness. Conservatives constantly reinforce marijuana myths, and hold puritan views directly opposed to legalization.

WNB- It's the canadian supreme court that is looking at this, not the american (your post made it look like you thought this was american).

on another note, will the public be able to see a transcript of the procedings after they have heard both sides of the case?

You lucky canadian bastards... you're well on your way to legalization. What I want to know is when America will catch on?

Rad avatar man, thats an awesome movie

Want to now the stupidest thing Ive heard regarding this?

Some moron MP/politician said something along the lines of this isnt a choice for the people and opinion polls backing legalization/decriminalization shouldn't sway the governments decisions.

What a moron, hes basically saying that the will of the people is crud and the government should do what it wants.

That is horrible ... did he/she get away with that saying? Did someone point out that that MP lacks a few brain cells?

Who is this moronic MP? or MPP?

And what was terrifying was not that they would kill you for thinking otherwise, but that they might be right. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? Or that the force of gravity works? Or that the past is unchangeable? If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable what then?"
