I also have a debate on marijuana coming up, but i am supposed to debate that it should STAY ILLEGAL, so i'm pretty much clueless, cause theres not many reasons you can say marijuana should be illegal, at least without lying.....

I'm probably jut gonna go in thier and spew bullshit and lies, just to make a good debate even though im wrong...... Cause i don't wanna go in thier and say that if marijuana were legal people would get fat from munchies, that doesn't form a very strong argument......

this teacher is breaking my bawls....

theres littleraly hundereds of reasons it should be legal, now if youll excuse me ive to hit a bong and do some reading.....

Turn it into a parody, you'll toss your grade but you'll get one hell of a laugh(trust me
their is nothing better then making a debate teacher squirm).

Debate isn't about telling the truth and it's not about saying what you believe, it's about making points and being more convincing than your opponent. If you need debate points for keeping marijuana illegal, go to the web sites of the DEA and ONDCP. You'll see their arguments and their rebuttals to the pro-legalization side's arguments.

I don't know how they do debate at your school. At mine we had to be fully prepared to debate on either side of an issue. I don't know how you can convincingly support either side unless you're fully versed in the arguments that the other side will present. It's a whole lot easier to defend your position when you know how the opposition will attack it.

Hey thanks Buzzby, yeah my teacher is kinda one of those smart quack kinda teachers, today he flipped it up on us today again so now i have to fight FOR legalization,so that will be a GREAT deal eaiser, cause its something i can actually belive in.....So thats eaiser for me, but it still pisses me off how he just flipped it up like that.....

We pretty much have groups of 2, one person to explain our side of the argument and to give reasons, the other person(me) cross examines the oppsites side argument, i am supposed to anticipate what the anti-legalization people's main points are, so i pretty much have to guess what theyll say in advance.......probably same old goverment bull(gateway theroy,Laced dangerous weed, weed makes you a lazy stoner ect.....)

I got it tommorow right after lunch, so ill probably be stoned.......Ironic?perhaps.....but probably no....

If you are debating for marijuana to stay illegal, I would say just use the information you can find. Such as how effective the war on drugs has been, or the tax dollars that are spent incarcerating nonviolent offenders(nd thank God they're off the streets). Or, I think the FDA has simply said there are better alternatives, not that it is a particularly harmful. Maybe point out that America is clearly a beacon of moral virtue in this evil world for our strict control of marijuana, whereas countries with legalized marijuana have much more crime and gun deaths per year(Hey, wait, I'm pretty sure that last bit isn't true).

Like the guy above said, have fun with it. I would say so long as you present accurately the information you find you shouldn't get docked points. Even if you go a bit heavy on the sarcasm.

I got some.
So goverments can keep putting money in their pockets.
So we can keep the population down by putting about 800,000 people a year in jail.
So we can use it as stepping stones for becoming a police state.
And if she asks for positive reasons say there are none. And that falseified and baised studyies aren't reliable.

Default commerce

by legalizing marijuanna
though it would kinda mean the end of dealers who don't grow themselves,
legalizing marijuanna would massively refuel the economy
because the government regulates commerce - meaning
literally everything
and it could quite possibly save our asses and at least push the US dollar back past the canadian
