| Phew ... i hope that this is worked out soon ... as i just had a great heated discussion with my parents concerning the entire ordeal. Now, they are completely for decrim, but also have good views and life experience concerning the U.S. perspective of the situation. I hope it happens, as this will shut em down, in terms of the argument, hehe. Oh well thanks for the clarification! |

| Damnit, John Walter! How I hate thee. I'm tired of the officials for my government ****ing around in other countries affairs. This must be stopped somehow, or we will never get anywhere. ****. ![]()

| Come on, Canada! We here in the states are rooting for you! You can do it! The importance of this move is beyond words. Decriminalization has the possibility of destablizing the American drug war and ruining John Walters' relevancy in US politics. and there's nothing I want to see more than that arrogant asshole tossed out on the street.

| Grrr... I was so choked until I read Larmars post. But still, I really hate america. They've been bullying everyone around since they've started their stupid country. No one can stand up to them, not even the UN. Well, maybe there's a couple countries, but I wouldn't put my money on anything happening... Hopefully more government officials will take this topic seriously. And once again, damn the americans(American government)!! Damn them! They're not taking any of this seriously. They don't even pay attention to the real facts. Bush says that if it's legalized, people will became lazy sloths and won't be motivated to work. Everyone knows and pays attention to the real facts concerning marijuana. Bush is a stubborn fool. |

| Decrim SUCKS Right now I smoke weed knowing that most cops don't give a crap that people smoke weed. A cop will be reluctant to bust you for having weed as most of them know that weed is harmless and that the law against it is stupid. Also, they don't want you to get a criminal record or whatever crazy punishments there are. With decrim, cops will see a kid smoking weed and think, 'oh now i can just give him a ticket instead of ruining his life. It'll help me reach my monthly weed-ticket quota' So now there will be a bunch of tickets whereas before there was usually nothing. Decrim is worse than uhh Crim!!! |

| At least it's a step in the right direction. I think the police will still use discretion before they write you a ticket. In any case, the population will get fed up with the nes law and push for full legalization. So, it's a step in the right direction. At least the legislature is talking about it. |

| Ok, I sent an email to the Star's Ombudsman to check the accuracy of the article. He says to wait and see, the government will presumably clarify the position within the week.
