Default why will weed stay illigal?

Why will weed stay illigal? We'll have to look back to see why it was made illigal in the first place. I've read around here and had some really informative posts about it, but found that one critical point was left out.

Yes it was made illigal due to lies and propaganda in the way of racism...but why and how did they do it? They did it because when a paper manufacturer had just figured out a new cheaper way to make paper(and put quite a bit of money investing into it) the hemp industry had invented a machine that would allow them to mass manufacture hemp for the first time ever, which threatened not only them, but other's as well.

So they teamed up(I forget thier names) and with their money made the american public know about "marijuana" the deamon weed, and all that wonder reefer madness you all know about, as the soul purpose of making help illigal. But congress couldn't do it, so instead they taxed it, horribly, making it virtually impossible to be able to afford to grow hemp, after marijuana was made illigal, hemp followed soon after(with a lift on the ban during the war of course).

Many people think that marijuana is illigal so that they can "Save lives" or "protect the children" which are lies, if the government cared about the people of this government they would make it legal, taking the black market down and regulating the plant with a legal use age...i've never heard of a dealer that asked for ID. And save lives? They are ruining lives every day putting non violent smokers in jail.

So why will it stay illigal? Look at why it was made illigal in the first place, the company's that would lose money from hemp have just gotten bigger and contribute more and more money to the white house, and of course the war in iraq for oil would be pointless if hemp was legal, since a better fuel would be made, company's would lose billions and with their losses the government would lose billions as well.

Compiled with that fact, that the government will never allow it, they have to make sure the people never allow it either, with just complete lies, and campains against it, RAVE act now being used to shut down pro marijuana protests, more and more marijuana activists losing thier right to vote in allections that are being influenced by the government. And even in places where it has passed they continue to harass.

You guys may think it will change soon, but they thought that in the 60's and 70's, and it has just gotten worse. And as I read the news on this board every day I see it getting worse, if its not propaganda, its ignorent citizens, or violations of civil rights, I could go on and on, it makes me sick.

So what can you do to get marijuana legal? Move to canada and try there, at least there they are sensible.

I'm seriously thinking about moving to Holland. There I wouldn't have to concern myself with America's idiotic policies.

It's a vicious cycle, really. The public thinks it's evil, so to get elected, politicians adopt anti-marijuana policies. Once in office, they pass anti-marijuana legislation, and produce propoganda, which just makes the public hate it even more, elect more reefer mad politicians, etc, etc...

What we need is a very well funded campaign by groups like norml to reveal the truth about marijuana. But that would require an intelligent public that's willing to listen, which is something America obviously lacks.

if they were to legalize Mj the so called "legal drug companies" that push Percoset, Vicodin and every other Opiate out there would loose Billions, I don't see Marijuana being legalized anytime soon.

I am not going to give up on Marijuana.
I will do everything in my power to spread the good that it does. Maybe it will or maybe it won't help.

But, I am also about to give up on our Government and say "FU!".

I am really thinking about moving to Holland. Im sick of this crap!
