| Oh- And just a note inspired by t-1000. I, personally, want the government to regulate seeds and weed- I want it to do those things that governments do- tax it to pay for any possible ills associated with the legalisation of weed- and if we can help other good things along with those taxes, all the better. Set minimum quality, safety and cleanliness standards- much like the F.D.A. does for food products- beer, for example. (They were finding lead added to weed here in Europe, for weight/profit- an example of the unregulated market we now have.) I'd love to have a District Attorney on MY side, all hot and bothered to bust a guy or company who sold me fraudulent amounts or not as advertised product. It is the lack of regulation that allows the criminals to regulate it. And the taxes you pay to THOSe organizations are called "Inflated Profits" Lets get a grip on this, folks.

| What I would do is buy all the white widow seeds I can find, and plant them. I have a pretty good green thumb, especially with herbs. I grow my own herbs for cooking, and beleave it or not, even though I am 14, I am the best cook in the house. (My grandmother just throws a packet of 2 minute noodles in the microwave, so that is not a big acheavement.) So I Beleave with the care I am going to give my plants, I am going to get pretty potent plants. By the way, I do not beleave in artificial lights, I live in a GREAT climate and I beleave natural sun and purified water is the best way to go. (I have a water purifier, not a filter, a actual revearse osmosis water purifier, made with crushed quartz crystals.) I also play my plants trance music, because music affects water molecules, and, like humans, plants are mostly water. (That is why music has such a huge affect on us.) Damnit, I just realized, I would do the exact same thing if it was legal or not, I would just not have to commit other crimes to cover it up. So the government is actually shooting itself in the foot.

In a capitalist economy, different manufacturers compete for customer dollars by having the best product at the lowest price. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be exactly the same as the current situation with alcoholic beverages. You can buy a fifth of No-Name Vodka for $7, you can buy a fifth of 24-year-old single malt scotch for $300, and anything in-between. Quote:

| The more potent ganja would be in abundance because businesses would be competing with each other. And we all know it's about the quality! |

| Aghhhh only to dream.......Well you could expect a fair tax on it probably heavier on the seeds since the repeat buisness will be lost. I would also suspect there would be a possibility it may be legal in only certain volumes which may also prevent us from growing and keep the tax dollars rolling in. I think you would be able to by dirt brick all the way up to some exotic stuff you only dream of with a price fluctuation reflecting the quality - no way am I gonna sell white rino for the same price as schwag. You can also expect driving intoxicated will be frowned on and have similar dwi penalties to drinking even though driving high is safer than driving drunk but remember it's all about the money so we gotta get fined. I could get a great job without worrying about being tested for pot - thats nice. Imagine going into the gas station and saying let me get $30 on pump 6 and a 1/8th of purple kush with a cop on line behind you getting a donut and coffee, would feel good I imagine. You could also get a nice bong at walmart for way less then the local headshop another plus, and I think people would drink less going to a pot bar instead of a liqour bar making it a more chill enviroment because pot heads tend to be more friendly than a violent drunk. Most importantly we would not be looked at as second class citizens who are law breaking criminals. Oh yea i'd invest in the snack food industries and taco bell right off the bat..............seems like a good investment to me |

| If it was legalized, companies would be battling to become the top producer. So, not only would you see high-grade bud but you would see some killer out-of-this-world shit.

| look at it this way, if weed were legal, it'd become the norm, like if someone took some over the counter drugs. It might become more normal than you think. But it all depends on how it'd be legalized, what reasons you would need to have like if it were strict you'd need prescription proof. Or it could be like alcohol, just something you can have a good time on. But In any case it could go either way just depending on how the government would want it seen. They could want it to seem so average that any previous negative thoughts would just be null. Or they could want it to be strictly for medicinal use, prescriptions and whatnot. Thats all it is in the end. Last edited by oddblonde7 : 08-10-2008 at 04:44 AM. Reason: Am high and forgot my last thought. pwah |
