I was just wondering about all the talk about reform and legalazation here on these threads. How many people make a difference here by joining Norml or are the majority of people here just talkers?

actually just now i saw that link to norml.com and that was the first time i even heard of it, i only started getting into legalization/politics of marijuana about 3 months ago...

but when i get home from vacation (in japan right now) i was going to join... don't know how much good its really going to do me though as im moving to argentina in september... maybe i can start a norml chapter there eh?

Well I am kind of in the same shoes as far as activism goes. I have never participated in any kind of political group other than being a member of the US Air Force in my past. I am a registered voter just never like any of the politicians that are running. I just sent out my norml donation. I am really disturbed by all the recent activities in this country I.E. Operation Pipe Dreams. I have spoke with a few lawyers and even the Founder of NORML Keith Stroup on the topic. Since talking to them I have decided to join Norml I hope all others that read this will at least contemplate it also. If everyone that ever smoked would sign up and vote we would not have prohibition of MJ in this country. I think that there should be a pact that says if you want to smoke a J you should sign up to NORML. I know it is kind of a stupid way of thinking but honestly what other options do smokers or at least supporters have. Personally alot of people I know coudnt give a **** about politics and have no idea what is going on involving MJ. I know that if not for me always *****ing about things involving the subject they wouldnt have a clue to what is going on. Am I wrong to think that maybe more people need to wake up and get involved. Am I just preaching the same old song here or what?

I joined the Marijuana Policy Project after they started and funded the decriminalization ballot question here in Nevada.

I like MPP better than NORML myself. I hear more about MPP lobbying efforts and voter initiative movements than NORML.

But, NORML's good to....

Well I was using NORML in a general term I guess. I think no matter what affiliate you are siding your self with as long as the goal is reform.

well, since im so broke, i cant afford frikin gasoline half the time, much less donating to anything..

but what i HAVE been doing is waging my own little guerilla campaign..

i put out my own custom messges via money, and fliers on peoples windshields here in my area...and stickers all over the place

Norml Member Right Here!!!! Nice to meet all of you. It only coast like 40 bucks to become a member. And you get hooked up with all kinds of stuff. Information Wise.... Like meetings and things you can do in your own City....I encourage every one to go join. If every stoner joined. We would have a lot of money for the legalization of marijuana. And that is what normal is trying to do. With out research we have nothing. Glad to see so many people of interest and doing something. I just found this forum. And there are many great threads in here. I like the dollar one. Putting Marijuana.com on every dollar. I just got on the other day. And I live in cali. Peace..
