How many would move to Canada if Marijuana was legalised?

I would, and Im not just saying that. Im fed up with American laws and such. Especially after I read that news post on the main site here about the California DEA and stuff. I would most likely move with a friend or something, and go straight straight into the heart of BC, and enjoy life there as it is. But the question is.. when? How many people are with me! Hell yea!

First, you will have to convince the canadians to let you move there.

Same here... though maybe not BC. My aunt and uncle live in Ontario... would that count as family sponsorship? Doubt it... but I want to move there for the same reasons as you. Fed up with the police state here... It seems so much nicer there too; seems more liberal too, what with the gay marriages = legal and such.

i'm thinking about moving to canada anyways when i graduate highschool (maybe after college)... but it would deffinitly cross out any doubts if marijuana would be legalized.

OKay, I just read that. Confused about something though. What does it exactly mean by that $500,000 dollar thing? Does that mean over 5 years you as a resident have to earn $500,000 NET worth? .. and then PAY $400,000 of that to the Canadian Govt? Im confused. Explain.

It means you must have a net worth of half a million (property, stocks, bonds and cash) and put $400,000 in an account that you can't touch for 5 years plus you still need to accumulate 25 points in their "point system".
