i honestly don't think it would be too hard to regulate... just sell them in coffee shops and such like in amsterdam, the majority of americans are very lazy, and if they could just walk down the block and buy the pot at a cheap price(even with tax itll be cheaper then the black market) or order from across the seas like they do with tax free ciggarettes, i'm pretty sure they'd make alot of money with that. With people who want to grow, then they can get those ID's for growers only, and tax them depending on how many plants they want to grow(and eyesbleed i agree completly with u dont get me wrong, but you gotta think realistically, the main reason they are keeping it illigal is due to the fact it would be hard to tax, and the money they would lose if hemp were legal)and have it like a tax per crop or something...with strict regulations if therre are underaged people in the house. I'm not sure how the smoking in public would do, with all the smoking bans going around, even being implimented in amsterdam now...There could definatly be tickets handed out in area's where it'd be bad to smoke, school area's and such, but outside of bars and things I would think be alright, if there is a ban inside the bar of course. Now the major problem with this is how can they make sure eveyone growing is getting these tax stamp id card things. Im sure the government doesn't really care about underage users, since the black market makes it readily available to them, they only care about money, so the thing you gotta be able to do with legalizing marijuana is have it bring in enough money than they would lose with all pharmaceutical company's that wuold lose thier pain meds, anti depressant meds, and then all the textile factories, paper factories, and everything else that hemp would be able to throw out of buisiness(especially oil, which we just started a war over). And personally I don't think its possible to generate enough tax money from marijuana to do that, and thats why in my humble opinion, it'll still be awhile until it is legalized, if it is at all, you can see as more and more people become for it, the government pushes more and more, arresting sick people, flooding the tv with propaganda, new laws (rave) snuck in with important ones to give them more power... ect ect... sorry its been a long post imma shut up now ![]()

I have not made up my mind on this. One problem with saying that I am for it or against it as a police officer, is that I am going to pi** off someone. For now I have to enforce the way things are now. It would look bad for me to bad mouth something that I have to do as part of the job. I am here to learn. One must shut one's mouth and open one's mind to learn. I plan to take this approach here.

If the gov't took the honest, open-minded approach, mj would've been decriminalized (at least) by now. On the opposite end of the spectrum is the Bush administration who's response to these matters has been "WE ARE NOT LISTENING TO THEM" MJ is about so much more than getting "high". If a pee-on like me knows about all the attributes of medical use, then the all-knowing gov't does too.... difference is, they care more about money & power than they care about people & easing human suffering as much as possible with the power they have. They know all the facts, they simply don't give a ****.

.....124 dog ? If it were legalized next month, I would have to go down to my local city hall and purchase my smoking permit. It would cost me $365.00 per year. If there are, say 25 million Americans ( of legal age ) that purchase a permit, that`s about 9,125,000,000 per year. As far as regulation goes, perhaps the govnt. could appoint a certain number of farms, per state, to grow it. The MJ grown in each state would supply the state in which it was grown. Just some thoughts !! ![]()
