| Its not too late, marijuana is still legal in canada (ontario at least). This is the best time for legalization in canada, and i would hate to see it destroyed by re-criminilization policy written by Bush! "In July 2000, the Ontario Court of Appeal struck down the section of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act prohibiting possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana. In the ruling, the court agreed that the possession law violated the federal charter rights of Terry Parker, a man suffering from severe epilepsy who'd been arrested twice by Toronto police for cultivation and possession of the drug." Isnt it obvious "decriminilization" is just a quick rush to make it illegal again? I want to design a 1 page flyer to post here that everyone in canada on these boards can print off and tape to any telephone pole in thier neighborhoods to educate others that cannabis IS be legal in canada, and that according to OUR charter of rights, laws prohibiting cannabis DO NOT EXIST! (police and some courts do not seem to be aknowledging this law) Its not too late, we still have the right to life, liberty and security under Section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

| Hmmm... I was thinking about what's going to happen after this summer. If they're going to put off the legislation for longer, or if they'll do something to legalize cannabis. I was thinking of getting caught smoking weed, and then throwing a small scene about how there's technically no possesion laws... but my narrow-minded parents are what's stopping me. Only because marijuana's 'illegal', they assume that the government just knows right and it's bad. And they wouldn't want a phone call from the cops. Would this be civil disobedience? Standing up for what we know, and beleive in. Technically we aren't doing anything illegal, and it's been immoral to outlaw marijuana for all these years. ![]() |

| ..regardless of direction, is a step in the right direction. At least, in my opinion. Even though decriminalization poses considerable risk to home growers like myself, I think that all the media attention is beneficial to our cause. The Senate report, the Common's report, the Ontario ruling, and even Emery parading in front of the cameras is helping to open the eyes of the Canadian public to our fight. The current media blitz is forcing the average "Mr/Mrs. I.M. Canadian" to form an opinion on the current status of MJ laws in Canada. If it is decriminalized, it is our time to show the government that responsible marijuana consumption, recreational or medical, is not a myth. It is my hope that with this change in MJ laws the Canadian public will develop a very tolerant atmosphere to MJ cultivation and consumption. Who knows...maybe decriminalization is the first step towards walking into a streetside shop and ordering some indoor GWSkunk to sit and smoke ![]() C.C.

Canadian Cannabis Laws The reason "home-grown" is no longer synonymous with "schwag" is because of the changes indoor grower's have made to the plant environment. Over the last few decades, we have learned what the near-ideal environment is for MJ cultivation. To paraphrase a genious, "We stand on the shoulders of giants". |
