| Alrite im new to this site. Now im a teen stoner and im sure most of you guys are too. What concerns me most is was our society says about how pot smokers dont get anywhere with their lives. You hear alot of this from the abovetheinfluence sites and such. I've heard people say that students that smoke pot are underachievers and a straight A student who starts smoking will slowly go to Bs-Fs. Now are the over-doing this? And are their successful stoners in society (other than rappers)? |

| Barak Obama comes to mind. And a list entirely too long to ever be printed of good, succesful people who smoke Marijuana. Many of those people right here in Marijuanaland, myself included.

| Marijuana doesn't kill motivation at all. If anything, it enhances motivation; just for shit you want to be doing. You stop wanting to do shit you don't like doing, sure, but I consider that a good thing.

| Barak Obama is an ex-marijuana user who calls it a mistake. I don't think he fits the requirements for a successful cannabis user. Quote:

Stuff I didn't feel like doing: going out with friends who were extremely bad influences. I can honestly say that Marijuana kept me from going to jail for Stealing a car. Stuff I felt like doing: Reading, learning and general feeding my general curiosity. Result: I didn't end up in jail and expanded my educational horizons. It's all about weather or not what you enjoy is productive to your life. If it's not, you should restrict smoking marijuana to times when you have absolutely nothing to do. I've been lucky, however. I enjoy reading while high, and very much enjoy watching Educational TV. ![]()

| I was merely trying to illustrate how you could follow killian's advice and be a total loser. It didn't happen to me and I wasn't suggesting that was the common experience. I'm just pointing out that doing what you feel like doing and avoiding what you don't feel like doing might not always be a good thing. |

| when they tell you your grades will drop its a ton of BS, i smoke pot on the daily, i used to get C's for the most part but i'm now getting B's and A's and a very occasional C so dont worry about it, as long as you dont let yourself get lazy you wont my brother smokes about half an oz to himself a week, hes in college and is getting mostly B's so i dont understand were they come from when they say that it hurts your grades, nobody i know of has had their grades drop since they started smoking and they all have ambitions, 3 of them are currently enrolled in college level firefighter/perimedic classes, so the next time they insult a stoner they should look at the guy that just save their life of the others one wants to work as a bike mechanic, a few others are going to college to be electrical technicians, me im looking into engineering at them moment since i have always done well in math and already have experince since both my brother and dad are engineers, well my brothers in college and has an internship as a mechanical engineer so realy it wont hurt you if you are already on the right path |
