| Now I'm pretty sure everyone here who fits the mold of the stoner has experienced this before and I hope is pretty damn tired of it. Profiling: from the police, teachers, parents, bosses, and generally eveyone who doesn't know. I've been pulled for going 5 mph over the speed limit when i was just passed by a car moving at least 25 over, in view of the cop! I was then searched and I luckily rarely keep marijuana on me for long trips and the cop wrote me a ticket, called me a failure, and promptly left me to my own accord on the road. For most of my life I just accepted this as what it was to be a stoner, but then I realized that "This aggression cannot stand..man" This is NO different than discrimination against Jews in Nazi germany and only a few minor differences from racism. I wear our stereotype with pride and am shunned for it, I live are lifestyle at great personal risk. Why? because that's who I am, it's who we all are, there may be more choice in this than being gay, but every stoner here can attest that they are more happy with this lifestyle than their last one. I know the arguement, "But marijuana's illegal, and being black wasn't" Techincally yes it was if you were black and found you were placed into servitude. If you escaped you were punished and placed back into servitude. If a stoner is found and caught he is punished and placed into court ordered rehab (servitude). If he doesn't go he is punished more and placed back for a longer time. I personally think it's time we stood up and fought for our equal rights, our freedom to be ourselves. Those who think this fight is useless are free not to join in. Those who think people will never change and accept can continue increasing society's inertia. Those who realize that all great fights in mankind's history were always hopeless and never easy are free and very welcome to support me. "We wanna be free! To do what we wanna do!" ![]() (excuse me for this rant im not sure its acceptable, but I figured I'd express how I felt)(also my first post. Hurray?) |
