I'm sorry. I did a search, and nothing came up for me, so I went ahead and posted the story I received from NORML because I thought it was pretty important. Especially for this forum. It was also late for me, and I was on my way to bed.

For the first time in 24 year a bill has been introduced by
Barney Frank (D), and co-sponsored by Ron Paul (R) that would end all Federal penalties for the possession, consumption, and non-profit transfer of marijuana for adults.

This actually has a chance to pass so if you support this, fill out the form in the link below (It will take you 30 seconds tops).

NORML -- House of Representatives to Consider Cannabis Decriminalization!

Also another bill has been introduced by Ron Paul that would end federal prosecution for medical marijuana users and dispensaries.

This one actually has a really high chance of passing so I encourage you to fill this one out too.

NORML -- House of Representatives to Consider Medical Cannabis Legislation!

For more information on these bills you can go to Marijuana Law Reform - NORML it will be on the front page.

It still sounds like outright legalization of possesion yes. It may still be illegal to grow and sell, but if you can legally posess the marijuana then the way I understand it that's not decriminalization.

Far from it. It will still be illegal to grow, sell and possess certain amounts. Does that sound like legalization?

I said that in my post, I read the article and I understand the cultivating and selling thing, but my confusion is over why they are calling it "decriminalization." I thought decrim just meant that possession of small amounts is treated as a civil offense instead of a criminal offense. As I said, that bill sounds like they are legalizing possession of small amounts, but I guess they could be using decriminalization to make it sound a little easier to digest for the people. I was using the wrong terminology by saying "outright legalization," my fault.

i dont know about you... but... i have allot of weed with me, but 100 grams is allot of the avg smoker. yea, u can still get in trouble with selling or growing, but like i said earlier, you can have allot on you and very little will happen to you. for most of us, 'just smokers', that to me sounds like a mix of both decrim and legalization. if passed, i could see shops open up, where if you can bring your bud, then its okay! which is awesome

Go to your usercp and click on the "Edit Profile" option on the left side of your screen. You can list your contact info there

This off-topic post makes me think you haven't read the Posting Guidelines. So be sure to give them a read and try to avoid off-topic posts in the future. They can lead to messy warning/infractions, I hate seeing that happen to new members

It may never get out of committee. A large number of bills get tabled and turn to dust.
