Both sides of this story are a bit looney.

Why a vending machine in the first place? Is it too difficult to do it the good old fashion way? I'm not buying a goddamn tuna sammich.

They didn't steal it. If anything, they confiscated it as marijuana is against federal law. Don't blame them as they are just doing their job.

Sure, lets gather 20 DEA Agents and raid a dispensary. Hey, we could have use this amount of people to take down a meth lab.... But fuck it! We are doing our job!

No.

I will continue to blame them for their blatant disregard of the voting rights, citizens of California and elsewhere. I will continue to blame them for wasting my tax money, using their organization as a propaganda machine to conduct their seedy wishes. I will continue to blame them for killing innocent people due to their disgusting use of no-knock raids. And I will continue to blame them until this entire government agency is wiped off the face of the Earth.

Then you will be blaming them in ignorance. They are just doing their job. The federal government has determined that MJ has no useful purpose and the feds have told the DEA to enforce their laws. Once the federal government determines that MJ has a useful purpose they will tell the DEA to stand down and they will. Its as simple as that. You need to convince your federal representatives that they need to change the laws. Stop whining about the DEA. They aren't and never were the problem.

Then its about fucking time they realign their priorities and start doing 'the job' right. The federal government is the epitome of ignorant and they don't give two shits it seems.

Yes. It's so easy to just convince all of our federal representatives to legalize marijuana. Who are you trying to kid?

And yes, the DEA is part of the entire problem, arguably the source itself.

When I read news stories like this (I remember reading about the machine on the web when it was first introduced, I thought to myself it's likely to cause massive controversy) I am in awe. How can they justify such actions?

It seems straightforward to me. The DEA confiscated illegal materials and equipment for distributing them. The owners and users don't like it.

Sometimes medical marijuana users find that they don't have what they need at 3 AM... It's also less expense to the seller to use vending machines rather than human employees.

My mom works in a casino, and many of her customers are DEA members.
Whenever the DEA raids something, they very often keep a portion of it (especially money).

I know in California where medicinal marijuana is legal, it has to be grown in private areas that the DEA doesn't know about, since it is against federal law, even though it's legal in the state.
