i am in canada british columbia till the 2nd of sept. I was wondering if anyone can tell me wat the status of pot is here. Is it legal only for medical use or can anyone smoke it on the streets but only have a limited amount of pot on them? I dont know and i was wonderin if anyone can help with this question. Thank you

Go down to the BC Marijuana Party Headquarters at 307 W. Hastings in Vancouver and ask them about it.

What I'm sure of right now is that a judge in Ontario struck down all posession laws in that province. I think Marc Emery is claiming all posession laws are struck down but I don't know 100%.

Far as i know its only decriminalized (aloud liek 30 grams max? im no sure) but its still not legal to smoke. In most of bc you probably wouldnt get much **** for it. I live in a stoner town, you can walk downt eh roat smokin a pipe and noone cares, Hell the liquidation world had a 4 man hooka for sale lol. Where in BC r u?

My freind told me bout it lol him and his mom were at the store and shes like I bet youd like that wouldnt u lol, Hes liek uh waht is it. lol Hes been busted liek 5 times though so she didnt buy it. The thing was like $30 and it was half off because one of the little hoses were broken and when this other kid bought it he just put a peace of surgical tubing on to replace it lol.

im in richmond right now but i have gone to central surrey to find some weed but almost got robbed. I got some not to long ago and for so much cheaper then wat i pay in new york holy moly and the quality is not bad either. Thank you for all ur help and i went to The Amsterdam cafe in the city and got hassled by a lot of druggies so i didnt stay long. o weel **** happens but i still got to get high which matters most. haha. and it has to be decriminalized cause a lot of people were smokin pot at PNE and no one cared. well thank u for all ur help it has helped me very much.

Did you get your weed from surry central skytrain station? i doubt that you'll be jumped ther. At a lot of the corner stores by my house they sell pipes.

Pot has not been decriminalized in Canada. The legislation has been inntroduced to parliament, but the vote will not occur until late this year or early next year. Right now, courts in Ontario, B.C., and Nova Scotia have ruled that possession of marijuana in amounts lower than 30g is not illegal in those provinces. This has the ability to set precedent in other provinces, but until it's before the courts, nothing is firm yet.

As it is, different law enforcement departments are choosing to observe this ruling in various ways; some confiscate, some charge, some confiscate with intent to charge in the future, some don't do anything at all. In short: a real mess.

But for now, in Ontario marijuana in small amounts is considered legal by the courts. Hopefully you're in a location that operates under modern legal standards though...
