Listen, I have an idea and i really hope i don't get completely trashed by genuine patients with illnesses that require marijuana. And while I do believe that the ill are much more entitled to marijuana than I am, i still think that some entitlement lies with me. My idea is that I should fake some type of psychological symptom in order to get a medical marijuana card. I've heard that cases of anxiety is enough to get prescribed marijuana. Can I do this, is this possible? Can i get an medical card via some other means? Do i have to be 21 or 18 to be prescribed pot? I really hope i didn't offend anyone, but if there's a way for me to get marijuana legally, i want to partake in it. thanks.

Well, I GUARANTEE there are a lot of people who say they are 'medicinal marijuana' patients but really do not need herb. So, by this member asking this question he is simply asking if he should follow the example many people have made already. And people who use marijuana for recreational use deserve it JUST AS MUCH as people who need weed for medicinal purposes.

If you want weed so bad just go out and find it. Don't try to cheat the system just because you want to be as "lucky" as the ones getting it legally. It's one of the lowest of the low in the pot community IMO. No different than lying about a pain to get vicodin.

Nowhere did I say it was RIGHT that he do this but I do shed light on the fact that MANY people lie to get a medicinal marijuana card and you cannot deny the fact. If he has no ailments that need marijuana than yes, he should go to the streets and find it himself like the majority of us do.

Its by no means right but the government doesn't seem to care seeing as how Doug Benson in his film says "I don't need it I just enjoy it", no one seems to have relieved him of his card.

sorry to get off topic, but what film is this? i know doug benson, i've seen some of the "marijuanalogues" on youtube, but i had know idea he made a film

I knew this would upset people. I've done some research on the internet and realize that if did lie and get caught, and if many do the same then people would see medical marijuana as "failing," and this would slow the whole marijuana movement down. I get the anger, but there is also anger from many people that don't use it as medicine but just use it and have to become criminals because of that. But don't worry, I'm not planning on getting my card anytime soon, or in the near future. I'm not going to jeopardize the rights of those in need for my personal gain. I can say proudly that I am not that selfish. This forum was just me thinking out loud, sorry - Adam
