I have had bad social anxiety and depression ever since middle school, when I began to move cross country several times. I felt isolated, had trouble making friends, and was put in some very awkward social situations due to the differences in cultures of my peers as I moved from state to state. I have had success with therapy, antidepressants, and a little bit of xanax. I have experienced great relief from using ganja, and I think I could lower my dose of SSRI's if I got medical quality herb on a regular basis.

So...I want to get a recommendation without getting a cannibus I.D. card, because I do not want my name to be on any unnecessary databases. Can I bring my recommendation straight from a physician to a dispensary without getting an ID card? Do I have the same protection under the law if I do this?

Also, If this is possible, can I bring my recommendation to more than one dispensary, or would this strategy lock me into going to only one dispensary.... And lastly, if I have to go to only one dispensary, how should I pick the dispensary (I live in Los Angeles).

If psych meds + therapy are effective with little to no side effects, no self-respecting doctor is going to recommend you for medpot.

I do not agree with you. First of all, there are side effects to my meds. My system has grown somewhat accostomed to them but some of them still remain. There is also not much known about the long term side effects. Marijuana might actually be safer, and from my experience, it has less side effects.

Also, I should have the choice as to what medicine I use, especially when there are many doctors in LA that treat anxiety with marijuana. I have already experienced theraputic effects by using marijuana, and these effects could be better if I had access to the right strains of the plant.

I do not mean to get off topic, but I had to address that rediculous comment.
Can somebody please answer the questions that I asked in the first post of this thread without discrediting the theraputic benefits of medicinal marijuana.

Crackerman, I am surprised at how ignorant and illogical you are. Have you ever had a panic attack in public before, or at school in front of your peers? I have. If you have had an experience like that, you would probably be taking xanax too. I got my prescription from a well respected physician, not a street hustler.

Sterbo, thanks for backing me up, but where is the post that you made regarding the first post in this thread. If it is on another thread could you send me a link to it because I am not good at navigating this forum.
