I was doing a little research on THC, and I came across a list of chemicals similar to it. On of these chemicals, called "CP 55,940", is 59 times as potent as THC. I also found a place to legaly order it. Has anyone ever heard of this? I'd really like to know more.
If I interpetted correclty, one 'bowl' of this stuff would get you as high as 60 bowls as hash. Wow.

This is some very interesting stuff. I did some research on it, not too much yet, but it sounds very cool. It is a cannabinoid that is recieved by the receptors that THC is recieved by. If you have an interest in science and or biology, I highly reccomend reading about this chemical.

I still need to do some more research on it, but for now

It is listed as both, and some interesting websites about marijuana and the brain come up.

Q43, could you post some of the sources that you are reading about this at? I am very curious.

This information is interesting, more links and detail would rock. I am leery though, of any man made chemicals. I don't see how anyone could finish a bowl if the strength is comparable to 60 bowls of hash, but I know a bunch of people who would give it a try!

FYI: Marijuana is now listed as a "medicine in research" in the "Drug Facts and Comparisons" book. I don't know if it's a new addition or been there a while. There is a lengthy process to determine it "safe and effective" which in turn leads to distribution, but at leats it is now under consideration!!

Well, I came across info on the chemical by sheer luck. I was bored, and searching the net on I mean for drugs. I found this page, which is part of a book. This is also interesting... at the bottom of the page it lists two chemicals which, if I understand right, reverse the effects of THC. A way to sober up? What if you took it while sober? Would you be 'low' and feel crappy? Hmm....

I have to say that good ol' genuine THC is quite enough to satisfy me. From the sound of things.. I have to question these chemicals safety.

Drinking gasoline could be the equivilant of ((whatever)) but that doesn't necessarily make it safe, or smart. And I do not recommend anyone to drink gasoline, unless they have the desire to get their stomach pumped.
