Have you been exhaling through your nose? If so, I'd stop doing it. The vaseline idea is probably the best one. I know, a guy with some vaseline is gonna get some funny looks, but I can't think of a better solution.

at least is good to know that i'm not the only one that gets cotton-nose. and i'm not rubbing vaseline in my nose, maybe K.Y. will work? because its water-based and it doesnt smell funny! and besides, me buying vaseline is a no-no.
can i drip eye drops in my nose?

i dont see why its so bad for a guy to have vaseline? i carry a little tube around for my lips all the time (they get chapped when i smoke).
whenever my nose is feeling dry or irritated i stick some up there. works like a charm.

whats worse, being embarrased by your friends for having vaseline, (im guessing thats why youre unwilling to use it) or having a dry itchy painful nose all the time?


oh and vaseline does not smell funny at all. in fact it smells like absolutely nothing...

i dont have problems with vaseline, but there are no chapsticks made from vaseline here, thats sounds better that lubing up with you fingers

...It's called a "nasal strip". Brand name "Breathe Right". Find some at a drug store and check 'em out! It helps you breathe like crazy...and there's no side effects. It's essentially a light spring that opens up your nasal passages. They sure help me with that "nasally" nose that I usually get when I'm tokin'. You just peel off the backing (kinda like a band-aid) and attatch it to the bridge of your nose. You'll notice relief the second you put it on. I only use 'em at night 'cause people will stare at that "thing on yer nose" if yer in public.

PS..."Breathe Right" also makes a saline solution to use in conjunction with the "strips" that cleanses yer honker and makes it feel fresh.

i don't think my nose gets dry... i'll have to try and pay attention next time i smoke...

maybe i'm juast weird, but my nose gets a little runny in the beginning of a session. It's never been dry, though

dude... eyedrops are for the eyes. nose drops are for the nose, yes nose drops. Some docs recommend nose drops over the spray because chances of 'rebound congestion' is lower. A saline spray is more of a moisturizer not a decongestant...

KY on the end of a Q-tip..... or fingertip does provide long lasting moisture. And it is not irritating to the fragile mucous membranes and tiny blood vessels.

And what you do, but to me, carrying vasoline is much better than carrying a tube of K-Y. I ain't bashing K-Y, I would give weird looks to somebody that carried it around with them.

You can also get some "Carmex" or something equiviant if you wish. If you are really desperate, try Crisco... (just kidding).
