not inhaaling correctly, wether is old, new, good, bad bud. and how you smoke it. these are all factors that could determine wether of not you get high on your first few times. metabolism too, if you body doesnt metabolise very fast you may have to smoke a few times in one day to get enough THC in your system to break that kindof "barier" that some people have the first time they smoke.

i think your mind has to "home in" on the receptors to get or feel high

some people dont know what to expect and dont have the right mind state so its hard for the receptors to be activated

Well i smoked weed once outta a pipe wit my friend didnt get high, then i smoked wit him another time wit a joint, didnt get high, but then i smoked wit 2 other friends outta pipe and got (Moderators note: Unacceptable language indicating a very "high" state using current slang English) up!

uhi dont think so... cuz the first time i smoked weed i got so high that i passed out and then i had couchlock for like 4 hours.
You can definately get high your first time!

Um....Ya, you can. Just hold some air (or smoke) in your mouth, then push it thru your nose, I am doing it right now, as a matter of fact.
