Default THC to be heated

I searched and all the threads on this topic are locked. Someone on here is trying to convince others that marijuana does not need to be heated. He suggested that you can put marijuana in capsules and consume them. So I did that, in fact I ate 8 pot pills with just ground up marijuana in them. Its been over 4 hours and I don't feel a thing, I ate them on an EMPTY stomach. So needless to say, you cannot eat marijuana dry. Anyone who says that is just trying to get you to waste your marijuana. I hope this clears up any misconceptions about eating it raw. Also, I have heard of plenty of people saying have been forced to eat their stash due to encounters with LEOs and they also did not recieve a buzz. Who ever is spreading this "does not need to be heated" rumor please stop.

I'm really curious about this whole scenario. I've heard some people say that they've tried eating about a gram and been stoned. At the same time, some people say they've had up to 4 grams and felt nothing. Could somebody who knows a lot about the chemical aspects of Cannabis clear this up.

Could it possibly be just a huge misunderstanding? I've read a lot of you say that THC is an active chemical and does not require heating. Even though it does not require heating to "activate" THC, maybe THC is inaffective when comsumed dry? Anybody who could provide some scientific proof to clear this whole thing up, I'd really appreciate it. This whole myth has been bugging me for some time now
