Default Stomach cramps after stopping?

This is a problem that has recently just happened to me and has in the past as well. I was wondering if anyone else had anything similar happen to them.

I am for the most part a daily smoker who usually goes through about a guarter every 7-10 days, nothing extremely potent though as I unfortunately can never find any here. I am a pretty big guy at 6 foot and 250 pounds.

Anyways, everytime I stop stomach (usually low funds) after about 1 1/2 to 2 weeks I start getting really bad stomach cramps and it is always right on my waist line to the left side. It starts off extremely painful for 3 or 4 days before it dies down somewhat. This just recently happened to me and two weeks later I still felt the pain and it is extremely difficult to go to the bathroom.

When I start smoking again it seriously almost instantly goes away. After having this pain for 2 weeks, yesterday a finally got some and my pain was literally gone the same night. Today it feels perfectly fine as well.

Is this some sort of common "withdrawal"? If so how long should these stomach pains be lasting? Any info or advice would be great.

Sounds to me like you might have IBS or irritable bowel syndrome. The weed helps this condition. You only notice the pain more when all the THC eeks out of your body.

Withdrawal symptoms would start shortly after you quit and taper off as time goes by, not start 1 1/2 to 2 weeks later. I suspect that you have some sort of digestive problem that marijuana keeps under control.

Perhaps a change of diet after stopping, messes with your digestive system? (i.e. no munchies)

like everyone else - Sounds like you have a condition that the weed helps and once it's out of you're system you notice it - like me with my "CLINICAL DEPRESSION", I smoke and I am like you,if I dont after a few days it's back to elaville and zoloft - I prefer the natural alternative although it's not why I smoke just a coincidance, dont know how or why it works when it's concidered a depresant but all I cant tell you is it changes me drasticly.

I've been hearing three times as many sounds from my gut and it's been about 16 hours for me, being sober anyways. I got no pains though... I'd just sit on the can if I were you, hell I remember going to the doc's cause of cramps, and it was during high school when a fluent supply of marijuana was just impossible without a job, and getting a job was impossible thanks to my lack of effort... anyways, just turns out I was eating too much trash while I was stoned, the doc told me, and I did chuckle, that I was "full of $h!7". Tis an unsettling subject, but I thought I'd at least throw you this possibility. But of course, as CJR had stated, I too agree it is more along the lines of diet than the quantity consumed.

But also, as Greenfoodgames had stated... it could be more along the lines of that. This morning I couldn't really control myself, emotionally. I was in a panic thinking that I was going insane or something of the sort. looking up disorders and stuff haha... well turns out that wasn't it, I was just sober... it just clicked once I read that, or all of this for that matter haha thanks!

I'm not sure it really has anything to do with diet. Being a bigger guy it probably isn't the best. When this has happened in the past it probably wasn't good at all. Currently though I have been one a diet for the last 3 months or so and have eaten pretty healthy.

The pain feels more like something of a muscular pain as it even hurt to push on the spot a little then the feeling of an "upset stomach" or anything like that.

Doing a little internet searching it seemed like stomach cramping was a common withdrawal so I figured that is what it was.
