| I have been smoking with my friends every weekend for 2 months and getting very high. I have noticed that now when I'm sober I feel dizzy, stupid, forget a lot of things, feel tired, and can't focus on anything. Is this what stoners feel all the time if they smoke on a weekly basis? Is this normal? |

| That's typical for some people. I've been smoking for a couple of years now and I still geek out, but I've learned to control it if I need to. Some people grow out of it after smoking for extended amounts of time and don't geek out at all. But to answer your question, yes some of us do feel that way when we get stoned. If you're new to smoking you'll eventually get comfortable with all the feelings, and either grow out of it or learn to control it. Don't fret. It's all good. [EDIT] I nearly forgot. | I think he ment he feels stupid when hes not stoned ... When i first started smoking heavily for a week or two i had all the same things you were talking about but i guess after your body adapts more to the amount of thc going into it you just level out and go back to normal.

| If you're smoking only on the weekend, you should not experience any negative effects when you aren't high. If you are, it's probably very temporary, or you're just noticing things you've always done more because you think the weed is causing it. Just to add some perspective, I smoke every day, up to three or four times, and I've noticed that I'm a *little* more forgetful than I was before I was a daily smoker.

Yes this is normal for dosing yourself more than is necessary on a regular basis... The good news is that it will subside if you do a few things: 1. Stop with the competitive smoking! Smoke maybe a quarter of what you have been, and keep it to ONE night a week 2. Be sure you are getting plenty of fluids (dehydration is a nasty culprit and most people are under hydrated), eat healthy foods...even the munchies (apples, carrots, a good meal) taste better if you eat right 3. Get regular exercise every day...20 or 30 minutes walking is perfect, if you have a dog play with him/her...if you don't have a dog offer to walk your neighbors or get involved with the local Humane Society and work at the shelter...you'll love it, the doggies will love it! 4. Get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. Marijuana can interfere with your sleep cycle. it can make you drwosy but interfere with your dream-cycle. This is great for someone with a problem with their dreams (for example a war veteran who is plagued by nightmares) but not good otherwise. The exercise will help you sleep too. So you know, folks who are on marijuana for illness -- MS, Bipolar, Tumors, etc. who take marijuana in large doses over long periods of time become immune to many of the sideefeects you experience. They also become immune to the "high". Less therefore is more... Take it easy...and have a cookie ![]() Hugz, Mama Budz | ||||
